We ordered the baked French toast and vegan tofu scramble. Both were well prepared and we enjoyed the food a lot. Place is on the expensive side compared to other places but then food and ambiance compensated for it.
I liked the place and will visit again.
I also had the Gingerbread latte. I consider myself something of an afficionado, since I make 20 dozen Gingerbread cookies every year. This was perfect. Not too heavy, lots of flavor and the perfect foam on top.
I ordered the mushroom toast with ham and eggs. The portion was generous and the presentation was appealing, but the dish felt quite heavy for brunch. The mushrooms were quite a lot, which is good, but the bread is totally soaked into the oil, so the plate was a bit too oily for my taste.
My friends ordered other dishes like the beef short rib hash and French toast. While they were all beautifully plated and satisfying in portion, most of them leaned heavily on rich and oily flavors. The beef short rib hash is quite oily. The French toast came with fresh berries and looked great, but was very sweet and dense, because they use croissant.
The server was kind and welcoming. I appreciated that she checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well, though I would’ve preferred a bit more space without frequent interruptions during our conversation.
Overall, the food is photogenic and filling, and the service is attentive. But the dishes here are definitely on the heavier side — if you’re looking for something lighter or more balanced, this might not be the best fit.
I’m attaching a video of that cozy seating area so you can see what I mean!
I loved that they used thinly sliced ham instead of a big chunk, which made the dish feel lighter and perfectly balanced. The Turkish eggs were rich and flavorful, and the macchiato was spot on. The place was packed and seating wasn’t easy to find, but the food more than made up for it. Definitely worth coming back for!
EDIT: The management team was extremely kind and reached out to make my experience a better one. I have tried other items on the menu and would definitely come back. There are quite a few items that can be made gluten-free and I appreciate having that in the community.
Overall we enjoyed the time and atmosphere and the food was great and so filling!! A quick fix for your coffee and if you’re wanting something heavy like a brunch. Would definitely come back with my girlfriends and spend a leisurely weekend morning!!
