Review: The Corner Restaurant in Downtown Milford : r/Connecticut

I spent a week in Milford last summer and enjoyed breakfast there a few times. I really enjoyed it. Unusual menu items. Nice staff. Delish!

LOVED breakfast here!! Everything about it! The food was incredible! I got the area with stewed chicken and my husband got the California Benedict with one slice of peaches and cream French toast. We loved everything!! Our waitress was the best! Great suggestions, super friendly, really cool as well as a great waitress. Can’t wait for another weekend in Milford just to come back here! Totally worth the 1 1/2 hour drive 🙂
Also we got there at 9am on a Sunday and there was never a wait for a table the whole time we were there.

Fantastic. Great food, we had the African hash and the duck. Spicy, yummy. Cool atmosphere. Good service. Street parking was easy. No wait at 9:30 on a Sunday. Voted “best breakfast in Connecticut”, and I’m inclined to agree.

The Corner is hands down one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in CT! 5 stars all around. Expect a wait for this cozy comfy honestly home style spot! Personal favorites are the peaches and cream stuffed French toast, and the Malaysian pork dish

I found a great little spot in the downtown Milford, CT area. I was able to find street parking right in front of the restaurant.

Although they were fairly busy, I was seated right away. The breakfast menu features some creative items, and the interior has a classic decor. There is also outdoor seating available.

The drip coffee they serve had excellent flavor, but they do not offer espresso drinks.

Overall, the food was delicious, and I would definitely come back when I’m in town.

What a fantastic breakfast! We’re here in New Haven on a college tour and on a whim decided to pop into The Corner Restaurant. The decor is rather eclectic and is filled with antique knickknacks. Service was fast and super efficient and kind. Great menu knowledge by the staff. I had the duck and my son had the empanada. Both are extraordinarily delicious.

I can say without hesitation that this is the most you eat breakfast menu I’ve had in forever. I would strongly urge you to come and taste the magic!

I had the Malaysian spiced pulled pork topped with over medium egg, crispy fried onions and shredded ginger and a crisp rice wafer bowl with a stone hearth bread and home fries. My friend had the South Indian Spiced Pulled Duck Wrapped in Bacon layered tortilla with scrambled eggs and a mild cheese.. for the table I ordered Apple, Cinnamon, Raisin and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. I’m beyond full. The food was so delicious.

Picked up Sunday breakfast and headed to the beach. We got takeout and the food was so good. I’ve never been here before and can’t imagine how good the food is if we were to dine in because the takeout food was so good. The portions are large and they don’t cut you short on anything. I made my own omelette and it was full of bacon. Each bite had several pieces of bacon in it. The pulled pork sandwich is also another must try. You won’t be disappointed, trying this place out for breakfast by any means and most likely will have leftovers which is always a plus

I can always appreciate a very warm home like eatery. I was invited out for breakfast/brunch to this cute spot . The menu was hefty which I did not mind because I like to have plenty of choices. I sat at the bar area. Oh I forgot to mention the festive drink menu. so very cute. Now for the order, regular french toast and the African hash. Both dishes were very well crafted. French toast was thick cut and warm . African hash which was featured in peoples magazine . That dish consisted of spicy beef lentil hash served over an english muffin topped with a poached egg ( you can have your egg any way you would like), crispy potato carvings and bearnaise sauce with home fries on the side. i enjoyed it much. I was full after my french toast I was looking forward to the African hash. There are several dishes that have been recognized. I almost tried the duck wrap which was on food network, but I was not gangsta enough but I heard it is very good. My head kept following every dish that came from the kitchen because everything looked so good. Service was great by the way. I will def be returning.
