Over 10 years ago a fishing buddy and I stopped at Pete’s Corner Pub for a sandwich and a beer after fishing a nearby lake. It felt like I was walking back into the 60s. Lager beer and a burger in a friendly atmosphere. Years later I found myself in Jackson again on a Monday with some golfing buddies. Aside from the normal fast food franchises, the choices for food were limited. A local resident suggested Pete’s. I had an immediate flashback and suggested to my pals that we give it a try. I opened the door and it felt like 10 years ago. Nothing had changed. The beer and food menus were exactly the same. The wooden bar stools attached to the floor and showing some wear, looked as if they had stories to tell. When is the last time you had a cheeseburger and a beer for $5? You can get that at Pete’s Corner Pub. If you are looking for atmosphere, friendly folks and a beer and a sandwich, you can get the normal franchise food or you can visit Pete’s and experience some down home food and atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Ordered the onion rings and BLT and they were excellent. Great value for the quality of the food. We were passing through on our way from West Virginia and stopped at this clearly local’s place instead of opting for a fast food franchise. We were glad we did as the servers were friendly and attentive. Great place to watch a Sunday football game. Definitely recommend!

Small Town restaurant. We look for family businesses Not much of a menu. Not very clean. Your server is also your chef! Waited until the employees finished their conversation with a customer who was obviously a regular. They were standing outside at the entrance. We had to work our way to the door. We had no idea these were the employees until they came in. They continued their conversation for a few minutes. Acted like we weren’t there. Never a greeting or acknowledgement.
Between the indifference, lack of quality in their food and overall lack of cleanliness. I cannot recommend you do anything but drive on by.
