Ordered green tea and black coffee, Turkey Rueben, added turkey bacon, extra kraut, Greek salad, feta on the side, greek omelette, yogurt parfait and a fruit cup. $72.05
They charge you here to use CC, of course they would. :/
They serve the same Kirkland green tea from Costco that I have, comes in a big box.
The Rueben finally has a good amount of kraut to make the sandwich, the bread was born dry, although toasted, maybe sour dough, not the bread I was hoping to get.
The hash browns are really dry, just browned on the top. The Greek omelet was so-so, not much to it, kind of bland boring.
The yogurt wasn’t so-so, better without the raisins though. My husband discovered a white stringy and wiry object in the yogurt. We couldn’t figure out what it was, maybe from the dish scrubber or something in the kitchen?
The Greek salad has a lot of dried and old looking sliced onions, maybe from yesterday and the English cucumbers look rather dried out as well. The lettuce is mostly iceberg, some spinach added to it. It’s not so good. Prefer romaine at the least. The dreaded cut yellow peppers, not my preferred. Had a small white string or lint on my spinach, good thing it was towards the end of my salad consumption, stopped me eating the rest of the salad.
Service from our waitress was good. The manager or more senior staffer asked how my food was. I told her about the wiry string in our yogurt and Greek salad. She asked why we hadn’t told the waitress, I explained my husband isn’t a fan of bringing up issues at all, that’s why I bring it up discreetly. After much admonishment from her, I regretted even bringing it up at all. I felt I was being berated after a few minutes of constant admonishment. I wanted to get the heck out of there quickly after paying. She was clearly upset with us.
The food was okay overall, though it leaned a bit bland for our taste. Service was also not the greatest, which may have been impacted by how crowded the restaurant was at the time. With better crowd management and a few flavor enhancements, this could be a more enjoyable experience.
We loved the special Pistachio Cream Stuffed French Toast and the Salmon Eggs Benedict! We also topped it off with a Number 3 Combo and upgraded to Lemon Blueberry Pancakes.
I never would have thought to make a pistachio cream stuffing but who needs maple syrup and butter when you have this decadent mix of flavor! We really recommend that you get up here and try out the dish!
The hollandaise sauce is always good here and pairs well with the salmon and perfectly poached eggs.
My wife absolutely loves the blueberry lemon pancakes.
Service is excellent here at the corner house with multiple polite servers keeping us in good and beverage.
We enjoyed sitting out on the heated patio and watching the world go by…
Stop by soon to check out this gem at the corner of 25 Mile and Shelby and enjoy the tasty food and great atmosphere!
