Got the grilled chicken club and it was excellent along with the onion rings. You definitely get the value for the price because the sandwich was huge. My wife got the orange chicken bowl and loved it and saved some for later tonight.

Great service and great selection of options. The pretzel bites were a great appetizer for everyone. The entree portion sizes were very large, we all walked away very content.

My friend and I went last Thursday for happy hour and dinner. It was our first time here. The ambiance was festive and spacious. Our server was attentive. Happy hour is from 4-7 pm. My friend ordered shrimp ceviche and I ordered fish & chips. They gave large portions. My friend didn’t enjoy her ceviche since it was spicy. It is a nice place to hang out with friends and it is close to Balboa Park.

This was a last-minute decision to try tonight. I am very pleased with the quality/quantity of the drinks. The food was good, and the serving sizes you get for the price is fair. The waitress did let me know my meal didn’t come with fries, but that was expected as it wasn’t listed as a side on the menu.

Info about the bar. It does come with a foot rest. What was very surprising were the hidden knee pads built into the bar. They were very comfortable to have. They’re placed in a way so your knees don’t bump into the railings under the bar.

Decorations were cute, and the music played were mostly 50a-70s. Overall, this was a very lovely location in downtown San Diego.

If you’re trying to get food, try arriving before 8:30, as that is roughly when the last call for food occurs.

Fantastic mixed drinks and delicious bar food. Short rib nachos are out of this world.
Stayed down the street for a few days and came here twice. When back in Cali, I’m definitely eating here.
Service is good and staff were always friendly.

It’s just a typical sports bar. We just came out of Balboa Park and went to this 4.5 rated place, but.. I didn’t care for the cauliflower side dish because it was soggy.

Also, I did not know about the extra charges until I read the other reviews here. The restaurant is too lazy to update their menu prices so they just put a small notice saying you’re actually paying more than the menu says?
What the heck??

Local pub with flair. Decorated with a outdoor old school manly vibe but very trendy so my wife loved it also. Clean and organized, bathrooms were great. Outdoor seating patio on 3 sides. Bar is back-lit from bottom and has purse hooks. If you sit at the corner of bar facing Fifth Ave the bartenders will plug you into power outlet so you can keep working. Staff was great and attentive but not annoying with too much chatter. When we went they opened all the windows and doors so it had a great air flow and was nice to be part of the outside crowd. Please like this review and follow me if you find helpful.

Stopped in for a snack. It was fine. We grabbed a couple of beers and had the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower was disappointing. It should have been grilled more and it seemed to be drowning in a just okay sauce. It didn’t encourage us to order more food. It seemed way too expensive for what we got. Two beers and a cauliflower app was $39.

The service was awesome and the there’s a variety of good food selections. The place can be noisy with the streaming loud music and street corner location. It’s not a place for quiet conversations.

My beef is the 3.95% surcharge that’s added to the bill. It should’ve been disclosed up front so it’s not a surprise. The disclosure is at the bottom of the bill: “A 3.95% surcharge will be added to every bill to help cover increasing operations and labor costs.”

One would think that the high prices of their menu already reflects all their costs. There’s no next time for us at this Corner.

Dog friendly even IN the restaurant. Our server “PM B” (sorry didn’t grab your name) was fast, efficient and awesome. Best poke nachos I think I’ve ever had. Huge portion as well even when shared. Beer cheese and pretzel app was a bit smaller but fantastic as well.
