Dawn (We Always WAnder)
Another small town surprise! Stopped in for a breakfast on the road with little expectations and was so pleasantly surprised. Small little place but could actually hold quite a few people. The entry from the restaurant to the kitchen is open at the top and the chef could be seen working hard in the back, he even stopped a couple times to ask us how we were. There is a big antique like buffet thing that makes the divider between the restaurant and the kitchen, a neat set up. We shared the Spanish omelet and it was unique because it had chicken in it instead of beef – really yummy. We told the waitress that we were going to split the one breakfast and the cook prepared it in 2 separate little plates without us even asking, a nice touch. And usually the bread is just a small side that you may or may not eat – this was a nice thick slice of great toasted bread. Everything was really good – definitely would stop again if I was in the area.

Great variety of options and large portions for breakfast and lunch. Delicious reuben, fish sandwich consists of a 9oz fillet, tasty thai chicken salad with freshly made puffed rice noodles, local beers, great side of coleslaw, etc. Service was friendly, but slow; enjoy your company.

Great prices, very kid friendly (kid cups, books, etc.). Food is excellent. Large portions made well with fresh ingredients. Kitchen a bit slow but worth the wait (small place, so just one cook).

The owners and the staff were wonderful. The food is great depending on who the cook for the day is, I personally like Victoria…her cooking reminds me alot like Mom’s home meals. Will defenitely go back for more.

Without question, the best food in Omak/Okanogan. The only problem is that they need to invest at least $15K in the building. They are already bringing in the targested clientele (there was a Jaguar parked out front when I came in for dinner), but appearance and HVAC updates would double their business.
