A fun bar in Hawthorne with a family vibe to it. The bartenders are friendly and everyone there seems to be in good spirits, no pun intended. They have a nice selection of draft beer and liquor. I enjoyed the margarita and their varieties of tequila. They also have pool, and quite a few TVs. It’s a simple enough place, but the staff and patrons’ friendliness makes it memorable.

Went on a weekday and watched the end of a football game and a basketball game on their giant screens. Good beers on tap, attentive bartenders, small groups of regulars chatting, sit at the bar or at the high tables with bar stools. The weekends get Loud and brimming with people. Good music can be heard while passing by.

Older bartender (I believe his name is Luis) was unprofessional and unfriendly, so I bought one drink and wrote a $0 tip on the receipt and left. Then I noticed on my statement I was charged $26.80. I went back and asked a different bartender to explain what happened and he helped me out by printing this receipt. One of them (likely the older bartender) stole $19 from me by fraudulently writing a $19 tip on my receipt. I guarantee that I wrote a $0 tip on the receipt. Let’s see if The Corner Bar can produce a receipt with my signature signing for a nearly 300% tip on a shot of tequila. They can’t, because it doesn’t exist. This was not an accident. It was intentional fraud and theft. This is not only wrong, but it is illegal and will be reported.

It’s a small bar but with a lively atmosphere. They have a small dance floor with a DJ Friday and Saturday night with the music as diverse as the people from hip hop to rock en espanol. Great place.

Vibes are cool, I mainly hit the pool table there just to see how many people I can sweep through before I have to end the night and go home. Sit at the bar and catch a conversation with someone there, you never know what connections you can make whether it’s business or a new friend.

This is a very nice little bar! Good music, good people, and of course good drinks! I’ve come here twice, once alone and once with friends and both times have been great experiences. If you want some good mixed drinks you should definitely stop on by here!
