My husband and I decided to try The Corner for date night. It was a quiet Thursday evening and wasn’t busy at all, which was perfect for us. We enjoy stepping out our comfort when it comes to try new places. The menu has a good varieties and the waitress informed us that the menu items change bi-weekly. Very clever! My husband tried The Short Rib Lasagna, and I tired the Beast Burger. Both were really good! We also had an alcoholic beverage. He had the Manhattan 37 and I had the Pear Margarita. We finished off when the chocolate layered cake. We packed it up for Togo, but it wasn’t our favorite. I am curious to try another dessert item in the future. 10/10 would recommend trying The Corner.

We had an amazing experience at The Corner in Wilson, North Carolina. From the moment we walked in without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess.
Our server, Jay, was absolutely fantastic. He answered all of our questions about the menu with great detail, making our decisions easy and enjoyable. When I asked for my salad without cheese and requested oil and vinegar instead, the chef went above and beyond and made a custom dressing just for me. I was blown away. The dressing was incredible, and honestly, everything we had was delicious.
My husband ordered the Angus ribeye steak, it was the best he’s had in a long time.
Jay truly made the experience even better with his outstanding service. If you’re driving through North Carolina, I highly recommend stopping by The Corner. You won’t be disappointed.

We had the steak with smashed potatoes, the Cajun salmon with lemon rice and green beans, and the chicken of the woods—perfectly fried mushrooms—and every dish was outstanding. The Corner in Wilson is a chef-driven gem that delivers well beyond its price point. We sat at the counter and watched the kitchen move like clockwork during their very first service, with the chef himself leading the way. The attention to detail, the creativity in each dish, and the clear passion behind the food make this place something special. If you’ve dined at spots like the now-closed Fine Folk in Raleigh or Native Fine Diner in Greenville, you’ll appreciate the same level of thoughtfulness and execution here. And if you’re within an hour of Wilson, this place is absolutely worth the drive. We’ll be back—and without a doubt, The Corner is now in our restaurant rotation.

We were not expecting to find a place like this in downtown Wilson. It takes a lot to “wow” us. The small diner atmosphere is very enjoyable, and the staff are all extremely friendly and polite. I had the pastrami sliders and lobster bisque, and she had the filet with a wedge salad. Everything was fantastic, fresh, and well plated. The chunks of lobster in the bisque were cooked perfectly and the bisque itself was very well made. I could go on and give similar descriptions of each thing we ate. We were extremely impressed and will be back very soon. If you are even remotely a foodie, you have to come try this.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner on a Friday evening. We had a reservation and would recommend you do so. We were seated immediately and there was a carafe of chilled water and glasses for our use. Multiple staff stopped at our to inquire how things were. Bread was brought promptly and orders taken as soon as we were ready. We wanted to try multiple things so shared a number of dishes. We started with the wedge salad. It was good but too much dressing for us. In future we will ask for dressing on the side. We also had the Kentucky fried mushrooms. Very light breading and not greasy at all. Delicious! Our main meal was the Cajun salmon with rice and asparagus with honey butter. The rice was delicious mixed with the honey butter. For dessert we had the Blueberry flapjack cake and red velvet cake with a Blackberry bourbon smash. All I can say is yum! The only problem is that we were so full. There is street parking as well as a public lot nearby. Another thing we appreciated is that the restaurant is not noisy. We definitely recommend you visit for a wonderful dining experience.
