I really wanted to like this place. I came here years ago when it was Savanah focused on BBQ and it was excellent. So I was hoping that this was going to be a similar experience, just under new ownership and a different menu.

Astetically the place still maintained the charm. The service was excellent, from the hostess – manager Tirra – and our server Annalise….so freaking awesome!

Unfortunately the food…oh the food…so disappointing….I usually check reviews, this time I didn’t…..I should have…so many reviews point out the same problem with the food, but do mention the amazing staff….I dont understand why they wouldn’t address this huge problem….but it remains…

My wagu burger was cold, tasteless and the fries had absolutely no life, plus they were sparse….the Zucchini Chips were also flat and also vold and had no flavor. The Pumpkin Soup and Chicken Sandwich were good.

The server recognized our dissatisfaction and brought over the manager who definitely tried to make things right offering us to replace any items. We were not interested, so she did the right thing and took two items off the menu.

I do hope that they eventually correct whatever disconnect is going on in the kitchen. I truly do wish them the best.

The Cornell is a beautifully decorated restaurant creating the perfect vibe for a dinner out – casual or dressy.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the ambiance. The mushroom ravioli was the best of the items we ordered but the portion was small; the rest were fine but not outstanding. The quality did not quite match the pricing.

We arrived as a group of 6 people on the reserve and immediately sat down.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere and decor of the place was wonderful.
We came with our puppy who was greeted with water and love, which was really amazing and much appreciated
Our Molly server was phenomenal.
She went further and further out to make sure our table was well-groomed. I can’t say enough about her very positive attitude and very friendly approach.
If you ever hit a restaurant, definitely ask for Molly.
Great experience and I would definitely recommend this place.

Came here for Valentines Day. Food was very good. Main thing was the steak. Was delicious. Ice rink outside was a perfect way to end the night

Docks were a wee bit sketchy but very doable (44′ motor yacht). Sat at a Hightower in the bar area. Great service by the bartender. Good drinks and knowledgeable on menu items. Instead of the the usual bread, they serve French fries and a garlic aioli. Enjoyed the BBQ eel sushi and the dumpling platter served in a wicker basket steamer. Others had the sliders and received high praise.

**A Perfect Dining Experience by the Water at The Cornell**

We had the pleasure of dining at The Cornell Restaurant and Bar on a stunningly beautiful day, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The restaurant’s lovely deck and outdoor seating right by the water created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

The food was impeccable, with each dish offering a memorable experience. One friend savored the Prime Rib Sandwich with seasoned fries, which he found absolutely delicious. His wife relished both the Vegetable Dumplings and Pork Dumplings, praising their outstanding flavors. My sister enjoyed the Angry Tuna Roll and Korean Fried Chicken, both of which were bursting with bold, satisfying flavors. Another friend opted for the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which came with tasty fries that rounded out the meal beautifully. As for me, I had the Fish & Chips—an incredible dish with a thin, flaky batter that encased tender, meaty fish. It was a true highlight of the meal.

What truly set the experience apart, however, was the exceptional service. Our server, Juliana, was everything you’d hope for in a dining experience at a restaurant of this caliber. Polite, friendly, and incredibly attentive despite having several tables to manage, she made us feel like her top priority. Her warmth and professionalism elevated the entire experience, and we will absolutely be requesting her table the next time we visit. The supporting staff were all in supporting each other.

The Cornell Restaurant and Bar excels in its combination of delectable food, picturesque ambiance, and outstanding hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience by the water!

This was a very disappointing dining experience. We had high hopes as it’s in a nice area and the menu looked good. Food came out super delayed. We were waiting an incredibly long time even for cold lunch items. One dish was forgotten completely. When things did come out it was one at a time so we couldn’t eat together. Food was…fine, but didn’t merit the price tag. The waiter was very rude, at one point rolling his eyes and dismissing what was a typical request. There are other restaurants to go to in the area. I highly recommend you go to those.

Pro: waitress was nice
Cons: very slow service, 40 mins for our food to come out and only one other table was seated, food is mediocre, the oysters we ordered never came. You are asked to pay with an app – fun.

Feels like it was just converted into something (from the BBQ place and before that, a dance club) to make a profit from its beautiful interior and location on the waterfront.

Easter buffet… they’re new, they tried. They overbooked and were understaffed. Food was cold, service was sooooo slow.
Waited 40 minutes to be sat when there were multiple empty tables. Disorganized, lack of communication between servers and bussers and management. Asked for items like salt and pepper, ketchup or drinks and waited 15-20 minutes for water. Hoping they get it together because this was a family tradition for us at Old Savannah, I would hate to see it go…Will give it time and try again. Update. Owner responded to “make things right” we emailed a couple times and was told I would receive an e-gift card which never came.” I have tried to contact them to provide a better review, but never heard back again. Maybe there is new management.
