My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. Our server Mia was attentive and had such a beautiful, friendly demeanor. The decor was beautiful and the food was fantastic. We ordered the salmon bites and Brussel sprouts appetizers—the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had and we get brussels sprouts everywhere we go that offer them on the menu. The salmon bites were wonderful and perfectly crispy (even the sauce was delicious, it tasted in house made). My husband got the soul food plate w/fried catfish and really enjoyed it. I got the blackened catfish Alfredo and it was a solid 10 out of 10! The texture, the seasonings and the presentation were outstanding. The prices were extremely fair, almost too low, but I understand that they may be trying to build an audience. They also have a vegan option, a mushroom ‘chicken’ sandwich that I plan on trying next. Definitely go support this business and experience the food & ambiance. Kudos to the Chef and the staff! We will be back.

The food is good, catfish was well seasoned, crispy, very good. I had the soul food platter. The food takes time, it was hot and fresh. Salmon bites are good, chicken was also good. We enjoyed it. Lamp chops have a good seasoning and glaze. Cheesecake is shareable. Black owned with a nice feel and vibe, soft music. Owner was very nice. Good for date night and close to home. The club next door made it loud but you can still talk and enjoy. Worth giving it a try. I would make a reservation.

Our server was the best, extremely kind and checked on us often. The food was delicious, and we went on a Wednesday where you get half off appetizers and one entree with another half off. I didn’t know that at the time and was surprised to see how cheap my bill was!

This place is absolutely amazing. Stopped in today for my birthday lunch and had an amazing experience. From the attentiveness of the staff to atmosphere and beautiful ambiance, I absolutely enjoyed my visit. We started with appetizers; we had the maple glazed Brussel sprouts, bacon wrapped skewers and fried chicken with the jerk sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection, and that jerk sauce was 10/10. For my entree I had the Soul platter, which was amazing. I would definitely recommend giving them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The Copper Room is a real hidden gem and a Black-owned restaurant that deserves more attention. From the outside, you would never guess what’s inside. There’s no clear signage, it’s attached to a school bus company, and we literally had to walk around just to find the entrance. First impression? Questionable.
But once you step inside — whole different story.
We were greeted and seated, and immediately the vibe shifted. The dining space is intimate and beautiful, with copper walls that set the mood. The music was a little loud, but it didn’t take away from the ambience.
At first, I was disappointed there wasn’t a full drink menu, but the mocktails quickly changed my mind. The strawberry peach spritz packed a punch — I had me looking at my glass twice.
We started with appetizers: whole wings with lemon pepper sauce and Thai chili jerk on the side, plus lightly breaded salmon bites. Everything was juicy, flavorful, and well prepared.
Now the entrees are where this place really shines.
I ordered the lamb chops cooked medium with collard greens and mac and cheese, and everything came out exactly how it should. The lamb chops were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The collard greens were well seasoned, and the mac and cheese was rich and comforting without being overwhelming. Every bite worked together.
My partner ordered the half roasted chicken with mac and sweet potatoes, and that plate did not miss either. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well, the mac and cheese held its own, and the sweet potatoes balanced the dish perfectly. You could tell real care went into the food.
The prices were reasonable, the food delivered, and the atmosphere made it perfect for a late lunch, dinner date, or a night out with friends. I’ll definitely be back. If the service were just a little faster, this place would be flawless.

Such a cozy restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner with friends or loved ones! The atmosphere is relaxing with beautiful lighting and great music that sets the perfect vibe. The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavor, and the service is top-notch — every detail is handled with care. This has quickly become one of my favorite local dining spots for a peaceful yet enjoyable dining experience. Everything here is served with excellence, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
