We stopped in during a layover for the Blue Ridge Scenic Excursion. Everyone was friendly, even as the place quickly filled with customers and the cold (December visit). The food was outstanding and the price was more than fair. The portions were generous! My son was so happy with huge mozzarella sticks and the reuben was delish!

The food was good overall, and the service was just okay. The bourbon burger was delicious, the perfect balance of sweet and savory in every bite. My husband really enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak, especially with double steak. It was big, hearty, and full of flavor. The only downside for us were the fries. We weren’t fans of the seasoning they used, so those were a no-go.

Juiciest burger I’ve had in a long time. Way much bigger than what I thought I was ordering and plenty of fries to go with it. The 3 young lady’s I seen were very busy but never neglected to see if I needed anything. We got there right before the train unloaded and was able to get seated quickly.

We came here by way of the Blueridge Scenic train. This restaurant came highly recommended for their burgers. We were not disappointed. Good food, friendly service, fun mountain town atmosphere. Here’s a tip, if you come in with the train, there will be a long line here. Either get here in a hurry, or go shopping before getting lunch.

I told the lady, Emma, at the counter this was our first time. You pay when you order but the total bill had already upcharged us for a 20% tip! I don’t know why because we had to get our own drinks and refills and all our own condiments. The only thing she did was to bring our food to us. And we didn’t know we had to get our own drinks til I went back to the counter and asked.
I ordered the fried catfish with fried mushrooms. The catfish was not greasy and tasted awesome! The mushrooms were sliced then fried which I enjoyed too. The portions were big so fair price. I would def come back for the food but the service was less than to be desired especially since we were the only patrons eating in the restaurant. And the attempt to sneak a 20% tip for not providing any service.

The burgers are AMAZING so flavorful and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The fried mushrooms are a different spin they’re sliced and the family loved them!

Nice place, wasn’t packed, and nice welcoming atmosphere. Got the Black & Blue burger with the baked potato salad and WOW. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Definitely will be back every time I come through.
