Warm, inviting space on the lake with a stone fireplace, American menu & prime sunset viewing.

Just went to copper docks for the first time 2/7/2026. I had made reservations for 2 people. Got seated , I had asked if we could sit at the table by the window hostess said no. Sat down . R table was soo wobbly I thought 1 of us was gonna end up wearing the drinks . Are waitress Amanda did eventually come and fix it . Got the hay stacks, way too much for 2 ppl with no ketchup nor a dip sauce. Food took awhile , waitress Amanda walked by several times , didn’t refill my drink or tell us where r food was. Finally got our meal , I had got the lobster tail & tenderloin, lobster was small & the dipping butter was cold, my boyfriend got the walleye wrapped in asparagus, the fish was cold & the asparagus was smaller than the French fries . Way to expensive for the quality of the food. Was very dissatisfied. Best part was my mocktail, the bread & salad. I highly don’t recommend. Plus for the prices of everything thought the parking lot could have been black topped , instead full of huge pot holes & puddles. Desert was good cuz it’s from sicko. The near buy restaurant distribution.

Beautiful place, great service, good generous portions with the view of the lake. The only thing I will change if I could is the abnoxious country music that they played the entire time. Perhaps some more neutral music for ambiance!?

My wife and I went there for our 10 year anniversary. We have wanted to try it for a few years. The fried mozzarella sticks were good as an appetizer. My wife’s ribeye and potatoes were delicious. My prime rib was very tough. I ordered medium rare and it came out almost not cooked at all. I would have still eaten it but it was very tough. The waitress agreed it wasn’t cooked as ordered and took it back. I was hoping that it would tender up when cooked a little more or they would replace it with another piece or prime rib. My plate came back out a few minutes later and was the same piece. Almost no difference in doneness and was tougher. It wasn’t just tough to chew, it was tough to cut. I ended up not eating it. I am really disappointed. My wife was done eating by this point and she gave some of her Ribeye steak and mashed potatoes. The waitress felt bad so she comped us dessert. I was really hoping my dinner was going to be good.
I must have gotten a bad piece of prime rib. With the crowd they had, there’s no way that was up to their standard. The ambience was great. I also couldn’t finish my French onion soup. The flavor was good but it was so salty I couldn’t eat it all. Very disappointing meal in general.

Copper Dock is a unique dining experience, in the most refreshing of ways. A beautiful environment, friendly and professional staff, and an excellent menu with varied dishes. Each of our plates were excellent. Of surprising note: the vegetable of the day was green beans, and they were the best prepared green beans I recall having. Well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed their carrot cake too.

We had such a great experience. We were a group of 8. It had been a couple of years since we were here, and after reading some of the reviews in the past year or so, I was sort of second guessing our reservation. Most of our group had the fish fry, which was delicious. My husband had the beer battered and I the breaded. So good! The salad bar had several delicious sides, the pea salad was great, the German potato salad, in addition to many fresh toppings, pickles, olives etc. The service was very good. Someone was there, on the spot, to clear plates promptly as we went from course to course and asked if we wanted refills or additional drinks. I was so glad we didn’t change or reservation. We will definitely go back, sooner than later.

Update Dec 26, 2025:
Phenomenal. And we had the same waiter.
Previous Review:
Best waiter ever (Austin). Service was impeccable. Crab legs on Wednesdays. Plenty of parking. Nice view. Excellent drinks. I don’t have a negative thing to say. The mushroom risotto is fantastic…tastes like mom’s beef stroganoff. All around great time.

My family and I went for a Thanksgiving buffet. We started at the bar and had a fantastic start. The bartender Eric made everything fresh and was happy to let us sample mixes and syups he created for TG cocktails. He infuses his own liquors like cucumber vodka for an incredible bloody Mary or the simple syrups for flavored old fashions. From there we moved to an excellent lakeside view to enjoy a 2 room buffet with a surprising wide selection of dinner items. Lasagna to Mac n cheese to prime rib with full salad and dessert bar. There was nothing that I sampled I didn’t enjoy, and usually at a buffet there’s at least two items that are poor quality. The staff was great and I never ran into an empty serving tray. As someone that travels for work but lives in the area it was a fantastic experience and I will be going back!

Was disappointed the salad bar did not exist, a staple for supperclubs, and featured on the Google page. Our server lost interest in us when we did not order alcohol, and I was told there were no refills on soda when I finished mine. The food was good and well plated, I had wanted to take advantage of the crab adder for my steak, but was told the wednesday special was only for the dinner, not the adder so it was still full price. But all in all it was a pleasant dinner.

We came to this restaurant for the 2nd time. We were craving some quality food as we had so many other experiences elsewhere back to back that disappointed us. Well, this is exactly what we needed! It was delicious. We got the ribeye and lobster tail, queen tenderloin and chicken tenders for the little. Everyone loved their plate. Only complaint would be the amount of time the food took to come (though it was very busy!) And the cost. But we knew it would be higher end of cost and thats okay! We will be back again and again.

Ventured to The Copper Dock on a Friday for a fish fry. We went early since they don’t take reservations on a Friday for parties less than 6. We were seated immediately in the main dining area. Our server, Austin, was very attentive. We enjoyed the salad bar and the Clam Chowder was unique and delicious (not as creamy as New England Clam Chowder and with a little spice). The beer batter cod fish fry was tasty but a little heavy, but the Perch is recommended.
