Really wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t great.

The calamari starter didn’t feel fresh out of the fryer as it was only Luke warm. Same for the fries that came with our dishes. The pork chop had good flavor but was a bit on the dry side.

The positive is the service was good, fairly attentive except for the water refill, which always needed asking. The location is good with free parking at the mall and music wasn’t too loud.

Won’t be first option when dining in WC with so many good options around but won’t count it out either.

First time trying this place. It was a game afternoon, but surprisingly not too busy for a Sunday. We skipped appetizers and went straight for the entrées.

Our group ordered the fried chicken sandwich, Ahi tuna burger, regular burger, and shrimp & grits. Most dishes were good, but I had to return the fried chicken sandwich—it was overly burnt and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. I swapped it for the Cooper Girl, which turned out to be excellent. Service was okay, but not particularly outstanding.

First time dining here and it was surprisingly pleasant. Overall, the food was good and majority of the food was good. The Brussels sprouts and spinach dip were the only two items I wasn’t impressed with. I definitely won’t be ordering those two items again but the other foods we ordered were great.

Service was attentive and fast.

One of my absolute favorite meals in Walnut Creek is their ahi tuna appetizer. High protein. Fresh. Excellent every time I order (which is every week!) Love sitting at the bar— bartenders Miles and Sandy make the experience perfect. Highly recommend The Coop!!!

Food was good. We sat outside as it was quite noisy inside but they started the heat lamp and it was great. Tortilla soup was tasty and the braised short rib was very tender. My wife had the shaved Brussels sprouts that were also good and the steak with vegetables of the day…lots and lots of beans and carrots. Carrots were borderline raw but steak was cooked perfectly and very tender.

We came for a birthday celebration. Ordered lots of appetizers and entree. The favorite is the burrata. Then the rest were ok. The tuna poke needs more dressing. All the dishes were beautifully presented.

Baked chicken was bland and had an overkill of garlic.

The tomato burrato pesto was terrible. There were very few tomatos and a soup of pesto sauce.

The beat salad was good. Expensive for the quality of the food. I do not recommend this restaurant.

It’s ok! I was excited to go, but it didn’t blow me away! The garlic bread is definitely the highlight of the meal. Which says a lot if we ordered steak and lobster .

I would like to rate the food better and what I had actually ( the chicken pot pie) was surprisingly delicious. My friend ordered the eggplant parmesan which was the strangest version of that dish I have ever seen. Rather than slice them thinly lengthwise, they cut these thick rounds. She couldn’t even cut them without her silverware flying off on the floor. We also ordered the brussels sprouts appetizer, and it was very bland. It needed way more balsamic, or some sort of flavoring. Pretty much just like roasted leaves with salt on them. So, if this place improves the food quality, I would definitely go back more often.

The atmosphere is upscale and nice, but it was very noisy when we were there for dinner period there was a table next to us.They were drinking too much wine, and they were facing us and shouting at the tops of their lungs to each other, and we couldn’t hear each other think or talk. And with the floors being concrete and no soundproofing, the whole place was a loud restaurant. When you’re paying that much for dinner, I would like a nicer, quieter atmosphere.

Really fresh, tasty dishes with a wide variety of choices available. Service is usually excellent here. Due to table placement and hard floors, the restaurant is noisy, so it is hard to converse easily while dining.
