Found this while searching for a gluten free restaurant for our trip to the beach. It is a quaint cafe in a strip mall with decent free parking. We were able to park directly in front no issues. The food is as promised delicious. We travelled from out of town about a little over an hour away with traffic. It was definitely worth the drive. Needless to say we went all out for the venture. Had a side salad and quiche. Quiche was excellent flaky crust. Breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll. My non Gf husband really liked it as well. I would definitely recommend The Coop. We went home with iced cut out cookies, cinnamon bread and rosemary bread and of course another cinnamon roll. Yum. When do we as gluten free ever get to just order whatever we want on the menu! Never!!!! I would definitely say come near or far to try this place. Cozy and coffee shop style feel. Design district shopping walking distance for after. Be mindful of the hours. Picture posted. It does conflict on online platforms.

Coop in Solana Beach is an absolute gem. It’s just a short walk from the train station and close to the freeway, but it feels like a little neighborhood secret. The pastries and food dishes are fantastic – fresh, creative, and super satisfying. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get.
The entire restaurant is completely gluten-free, but you honestly wouldn’t know it from the taste. If you don’t normally eat gluten-free, you’ll probably like the food even more because it’s so well done – you just feel good after eating there.
On top of that, the staff is very, very friendly and welcoming. They really seem to care about the customers and the experience. Overall, Coop is well worth a visit (or many). I’m already looking forward to going back.

All the food and coffee are crafted intentionally and with great joy! It’s literally the best gluten free products I have had, in a great atmosphere, near the beach! I’ve had muffins, cake, pie, panini and their delicious Kona Coffee. Olivia and all the staff are kind and welcoming!

Gluten free haven. The coop provides some of the best textures and flavor of gluten free bread I’ve ever had. Their gluten free dinner rolls are one of the best I’ve ever had. They’re comprable to a Michelin star Italian restraint in Tokyo. Get the dinner rolls, wow!!
Texture like that on a roll is an art!
The ambiance is clean and stylish and the service is efficient and friendly. I went five days in a row and my gluten eating family also loved it! I like that they mindfully source ingredients.
I also recommend the cinnamon raisin bread, travels well frozen, as well as all breakfast sandwiches— that’s what kept me coming back!

Really special place. Olivia the owner is really special and the baked goods are delicious. Amazing community. Excited to try the coffee and have a place to grab gluten free goodies, sourdough and more! So close to the beach, cedros and a soon to be local staple.

This sunny little cafe is a gem in Solana Beach – all the more valuable since it’s completely gluten free. The breads, pastries, and lunch specials are fresh and tasty, whether you’re concerned about gluten or not. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They even took the time to set aside an unsliced sourdough bread for me during the Christmas rush. Highly recommend!

Everything we’ve had here has been very delicious!
We’ve gotten a salad, quiche, and a muffin. The cinnamon buns is super decadent.
We also bought a sweet potato pancake mix to take home. My husband loved it because it had great flavor. My toddler loved it because it was purple and sweet.
We also got their take-and-bake cookies. They’re nice and chewy with big gooey chunks of chocolate.
They also have their own coffee from Hawaii.
We’d gotten their desserts from Seaside Market for a while and are glad they’ve finally opened up a shop!

Dedicated gluten free facility! Gluten free, soy free, and corn free (with non dairy, nut and egg options)
We had a super tasty personal quiche Lorraine and a turkey pot pie. I will definitely be back to shop their cold case with loaves of bread, pie crusts, and sweet offerings. My celiac kid was so happy to have a safe place to eat where they aren’t stressing over the menu ❤️

This is such a great place! All of my gluten free friends swear by their baked goods, And even I, generally not caring for gluten-free food (I am not gluten-free) think it is delicious! Such a gem in a great part of town too. Olivia is the best and so helpful with walking you through the menu!
