Down home feel of a traditional breakfast joint. Friendly and inviting staff. Traditional breakfast of two eggs, hash browns and toast for $10 was worth it. Otherwise most omelets were $17 and up which seemed excessive .

The Cookhouse is my favorite breakfast place in Santa Cruz. I’ve been taking my daughters here for years. My father in law use to eat here back in the 80s. Carol is super nice and Jose is a great chef! I hope this place stays around forever.

This place is amazing! If I lived here I would come everyday. Really small, family owned breakfast restaurant. Kind of a dive – IN A GOOD WAY! Fast service, food is excellent and the owner is the waitress. Places like this are hard to find and this is one in a million. Highly recommended for a great breakfast.

Food was really good. Good size portions. Staff could have been more attentive but friendly. Fairly small place but seemed like a local place. Took almost an hour to sit due to being a smaller location. Kitchen could be cleaned up a bit but overall I think I’d return if in the area.
