This is a great British/ Irish Style Pub with a modern twist! They have the best happy hour in ALL OF PORTLAND! Everyday 3-5pm & 9-Midnight! This is a place respected by locals! It’s not somewhere to go take your insta bathroom selfies, this is a place to have good affordable food and beverages! Love this pub!

Ive been here twice and thought I should review the place. It seems like it should be more expensive than it is. There’s a good size beer list. Smaller menu but it won’t disappoint. Scotch eggs are great. The pub salad was great and the cooks take pride in their work. I got the vegetable curry with chicken. Im waiting on that now. There was a live band playing traditional Irish music last time. That was great. This time its quiet but enjoyable. Im excited to come here again. Im in town on work and will definitely come back. Good food, good beer, good prices, good service. Great place! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love the decor, the giant Western Facing panoramic glass at the front of the restaurant, and views to the bar and kitchen from almost any seat.
We felt waited on very well. Cant emphasize how nice the folks are that work there. Bibb salad dressing has the most unique and rewarding flavor. French onion soup was delish and bangers and mashed out performed. Gave 5 stars on food and would like to see a few additional options on the menu but not a complaint.
Bloody Marys were below market price and above market flavor!
Enjoyed it here tremendously!

If you’re looking for a night dipped in moonlight and stirred with a little enchantment, look no further than The Continental — and most importantly, find Mike behind the bar.
Mike isn’t just a bartender; he’s a vibe curator, and somehow part wizard. From the moment he greeted me with that warm, mischievous smile, the night took on a kind of sparkle you can’t quite put into words. He knew exactly what we wanted— it was like he read our spirits as well as he served them. Every offering was a masterpiece, balanced and magical, and every interaction left me feeling seen, celebrated, and just a little bit lighter.
The view from the window is unreal — stars overhead, city lights twinkling below, trains passing by and laughter echoing through the breeze — but it was Mike who truly made it unforgettable. His energy, his charm, his wit, his vibes and his effortless way of making everyone feel like the main character… pure Continental magic.
I came for food, stayed for the hospitality and left with full hearts and a little stardust in our hair.

First time in.. the Drinks and dinner were good. Curry fries were super yummy. We had to ask for silverware . The two bartenders were annoyed they had customers. No personality. No smile. In fact the male was straight up rude. Not to mention the glass of wine was barely 3 oz. They were crushing ice with a mallet that was super loud and annoying. I would expect more from a place like this. If you can’t fake it don’t work in the service industry.

Absolutely loved it. It’s a quiet and very cozy little bar/ restaurant. The server was great, and his knowledge of the drinks was very helpful. They don’t have a huge food menu, but that’s not a downside because they can make a great mixed drink! Definitely give it a chance if you are in town!( but find a babysitter)

Finally made it in to check this place out! The atmosphere, warm, inviting, comfortable. Welll designed and priced menu. The options are great. An impressive unique bar menu with many enticing choices. The food arrived quickly, looked phenomenal and tasted better. The portions were worth every penny. The staff, top notch. The owner stopped at our table and was personable, polite and impressive. Above average experience and a destination I would frequent regularly from here on out. Make this place a must try, I strongly recommend it!

Portland’s best kept secret. Incredible bar program that curates some of the best beers and an encyclopedia of classic and innovative cocktails. Comfy pub fare and consistently executed UK classics. The vibes and the staff are top notch. These people are passionate and you feel it in every aspect of service and the product.

My partner and I loved this place! We just need a break from the usual Maine seafood fare, and this English pub/cocktail bar was perfect. My partner had the shepherd’s pie with HP sauce on the server’s recommendation and it was a great topping. The tangy sauce balanced the gaminess of the lamb perfectly. I had the French onion soup, with a deep, beefy broth and focaccia pieces instead of a big crouton. It was so good, I believe I now prefer it that way.
Don’t come here if you’re looking for quick in-and-out dining. It’s a perfect laid-back spot to linger and relax, completely unrushed. We’re big gin fans and tried two cocktails we’d never had before. Both were delicious. Great food, great drinks, and a refreshing alternative to the seafood-heavy menus around town. We’ll definitely be back next time we are in town.

Quickly carved out it’s rightful place as one of Portland’s best hangs. The neighborhood feel paired with one of the most satisfying menus of Euro fare classics is most welcome in a top notch food city strangely lacking a little of both these days. The four nitro taps ensures the perfect pint is close within reach, and the cocktail menu is both familiar and diverse. Don’t sleep on the brunch, and like a nice pub across the pond, you’ll leave with a smile and a couple of new friends thanks to the amazing and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
