We could not have asked for a better dining experience! The food was the best one could have imagined. We tried the lobster tacos (fresh and full flavored) and the lobster club (perfect). A comfortable and beautiful setting with a view of New Harbor and the islands beyond. If the weather is right, try to eat outside for the best view. Our waitperson Greg was warm, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive despite it being a busy night. We will be back many times!!

Was the first we found in New Harbor, as easy to find, has a BIG parking lot and a striking view. It’s an impressive building, that “didn’t seem to fit” exactly, in that the grandest view upstairs level is all closed off, the restaurant being downstairs with a walk out patio. Dont let stop ya though! As I also got the sense this is a new location, and MASSIVE Upgrade from “the old”. Great food, awesome server, amazing views. Enjoy.

From the time we got there until we left everything was perfect. We sat outside overlooking the ocean. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal consisted of drinks, appetizers, and entrees. (Fish and chips and Chix brine sandwich) Both were delicious. Don’t forget to make reservations.

We stopped here on a beautiful, sunny June day after a 1.5 ride on the Hardy Boat Cruise line to see the puffins. We were hungry and heard from a woman who worked at the Hardy Boat dock that the food was good, and that her son was a waiter there. What a great spot! We arrived about 1:30pm, and walked right in. My husband and I had an Allagash White, and he had a cup of clam chowder & grilled haddock sandwich, and I had the fresh haddock tacos. Wow. All were delicious, and so fresh and healthy. It was exactly what we needed after being out on the water – a relaxing spot with delicious food and beverage – and a clean restroom as well. The service was great, and we’d definitely come back next time we are on the Pemaquid Peninsula.

**unfortunately a storm lorced their move from an amazing dockside location to what what looks like a clubhouse. The old location was as much the restaurant as was the f&b.

Unexpected treasure on a cove with nautical chic interior. Exterior is rather drab, whilst interior is bright & lovely.

Mixture of spaces for more formal vs picnic table decor. Bar is reminiscent of a soda fountain. Large outdoor pier for seating too.

Service was quick & courteous. Good selection of beer. Great menu selection. Delicious

**Also the Xeljanz XR pharmaceutical TV advert was filmed there. {At original location} (just spotted this)

Food was just okay, and for the $$$ just okay isn’t good enough.
-an umbrella bashed a woman in the head at a nearby table because it wasn’t securely attached.
-my daughter’s Mac and cheese was cold. Colder than air temp. They did microwave it when asked but $9 Mac and cheese shouldn’t need that.
-husband found a huge piece of lobster shell in his fish tacos.

It’s not bad enough to complain to staff, but not good enough to want to return. It’s too bad, the space is beautiful and waitstaff were fab!

We had a terrible experience. Appetizers and main course were served together. Our table was too small to accommodate all the food.
All dishes were hot so we had to eat fast. The food was served by random people. We saw our waitress when taking the order and the check.
The amazing thing is that no one thought this was a problem or that it is appropriate to say sorry. Stay away from this place.

Stopped in to have a lunch before heading out to see the Atlantic Puffins on a cruise. This restaurant is right on the water. You can watch all the boat traffic as you enjoy your meal. Family friendly with a great menu. They have seating indoors and out. The fish tacos were amazing. A must to get the locally grown oysters. So delicious.

As with many touristy seaside places, the view and atmosphere really is the star and if you can get outside seating here you have that in spades. The food was also very solid with all the typical things you would expect including good fish tacos. Service wasn’t amazing but it usually isn’t when you rely mostly on seasonal help. Overall it’s worth a return visit, especially if it’s at sunset.

Perfect in every way! Delicious food, great views & excellent location! We live in Boothbay and enjoy exploring happenings in the neighbor peninsulas. We had a delightful experience at Sole, staff was attentive and the food divine! My wife and I also appreciated the interior design and airy feel of the space throughout. Keep up the good work folks at the Contented!!!
