We visited for supper on 11/23/19. A sign upon entering told us to grab a menu (a piece of paper printed on two sides) and pick our own table. We did and waited for ten minutes before a lady who turned out to be the bartender told us food is now ordered at the bar. We ordered and found out iced tea was not ready and so had to get soft drinks. The food took a long time to arrive, about 40 minutes, and one order had the wrong side dish. They corrected it immediately. The restaurant seemed understaffed and disorganized. That all said, the food was tasty and the restaurant was clean. Here’s hoping we hit an off night.

Love the new menu! I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere, my house-made veggie burger, and the big family-style welcome. Kaitlin was our server and very knowledgeable and friendly! My mom loved all the BBQ meats she ordered and the potato salad. The creamed corn was delicious but be careful if spicy is not your thing. Will definitely return!

First off, the servers are attentive and good. The atmosphere is very cool, with the patio being a highlight. Acoustics are good for shows, and all around good vibes. Unfortunately the food is issue. Everything I had here was bland, with the most disappointing item being the brisket. This is Texas y’all. Take a look at my posted photo, and tell me that is an acceptable looking cut of brisket. It’s half fat. A moist/fatty cut should have the fat rendered into the brisket, not taking up half the slice. The sides were bland as well. Additionally, chips/guac and a plate of nachos were ordered as an appetizer and the chips for both items were stale. This place has a lot of potential but they really have to step it up in their primary function: food.

After reading some reviews, a group of us came here to get some food and drinks, thinking it would be great. When we got there, the system seemed a little off. We would all have to bunch up with the other patrons already there to wait for a single bartender (on a Saturday evening) to take our orders. After about 45 minutes, each of us were all done ordering and maybe had our drinks.
I personally ordered a Moscow mule, however my drink was 3/4 full and mostly ice. I guess they take the “Icehouse” in their name seriously. It was ok in taste, as well. Could always use more lime.
Then the food was brought out. I got the tacos al pastor. Now granted, I heard someone at the bar ask “are these legit tacos or white-people tacos” and the bartender said they weren’t legit, so I already expected something different. I’d had many a non-traditional taco that was still satisfying. However, I got mushy meat on probably just Mission tortillas microwaved in oil for 20 seconds, and some tomato juice as salsa. It didn’t taste any better either.
All-around disappointed in a place that has it all, but can’t deliver.

Great bar somewhere in between dive and retro, which is a good thing. Great back patio that you wouldn’t even know was there fully equipped with stage and bar.
The BBQ is phenomenal and competitively priced. Good drink specials and a pretty cool signature drink menu.
All in its a great venue offering great food, cold drinks, music and games.

Have been waiting 45 minutes for our food. Terrible service, no customer service dirty. I travel all over Texas and try lots of restaurants this is a top disappointment.
Update: took an hour to get food. Good was cold guacamole black fajitas dry.

BBQ Nirvana. We got the full platter and I have to say this is some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. The smoke flavor really came through and the crust was perfect on everything but still very moist. Beans and potato salad were good as well. Slaw was not my style but fresh tasting. Decent beer selection. Atmostphere was good with tastful decor, high and lowtop tables, classic arcade games and unobstructive music.
Service style is a little out of norms. I dont mind counter service but the area to order is not well defined and it felt like your pushing through the bar seating to order. I would suggest better signage and having the order area closer to the front door. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will make this a must stop on my next trip to San Angelo.

Ridiculously sad and disappointed with post-covid Pearl Icehouse. The place used to be so good that I couldn’t bring myself to give them just 1 star. Tonight though service was worse than Midland, TX during a boom, waitress brought unpacked straws with her bare hands. It took forever to get a server in the first place, fries were cold, cod was over cooked by a lot (butter knife wasn’t cutting through it), no tarter for fish so requested ranch for fries, waited forever to get our check, even longer to get it back, only 2 tables with customers at them inside, and the menu isn’t even a glimmer of what it used to be.
