The atmosphere is perfect – it’s dark and intimate, with a fun 70s vibe, and good music. There aren’t too many places in town that offer a dark atmosphere with good vibes for date night, this place is ideal. The drinks were strong and food was pretty good. We thought the burger was good, chicken sandwich was better, the fries were ok. The service was amazing. Our wait staff was very responsive and quick to bring out anything we needed and more. All in all the food was ok (there’s better places to get a burger in the area) but we will definitely be back for the atmosphere and vibes (those are unmatched)!

Amazing service, great food (street corn mac, spin dip, salmon burger) and drinks (Elder pear mule, blame it on the aperol, commons aviator)! Love everything about this place!

This place is truly unique. A mid-century atmosphere paired with really great staff and good food and decent drinks, this is a fun place to visit.

Seeing the place mostly empty on a Friday evening signaled that it wasn’t going to be the best experience when I opened my takeout containers. Unfortunately, I was right. The sweet heat chicken sammy was very salty, missing pickles and not hot. The artichoke dip was bland, came with only ten pita chips and a few slices of peppers. The host/order taker was kind enough though to warrant the generous rating.

A very original and one of a kind restaurant! Located a few blocks from Downtown GR, this place offers a great selection of drinks and food in a unique vintage, cozy and warmth decor. Staff is very friendly.

The Commons is a great place to visit if you like a really strong Old Fashioned. Apart from that, it’s pretty forgettable and just OK. We had the chicken tenders – the fries were over salty and the chicken was a bit dry. The drinks were good, but we were overcharged for them according to the menu. Service was swift but not particularly friendly. I would recommend The Commons more for the drinks than the food.

LGBTQ+ friendly! It’s a bit dim, so if you hate eating in public, it’s awesome. Has a really nostalgic feeling to it- like going to your cool uncle’s basement bar in the 2000’s. Loved the food. Super clean. Staff was really fun and friendly! Very cozy.

My husband and I tried this place out tonight and loved it. The atmosphere is fun and retro. Cozy and warm. Staff was really nice and food was delicious. Parking was the only downfall. We went early so we were able to find parking but I can assume after 5pm it would be much more difficult. We ordered the skinny fries topped with bleu cheese and garlic along with prime rib sliders. Very good and can’t wait to return and try something new.

It’s a 70’s retro diner, with real 70’s heart and detail. The seats, the flatware, the decor, the music, even the TV shows they play over the handful of screens is all 70’s. There’s also some toys and games from the 70’s laying around. The vibe here is super chill and fun.
