If you haven’t tried Colonial Grill by Pier C yet, you’re missing out I first heard about them from their Morristown spot and had to check out the Hoboken truck for myself. The food was absolutely phenomenal.
I went on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30, and the line was no joke. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes before I got my food, so definitely come with some patience ⏳. The good news is once you make it to the front, they give you a side sampler of fries, which I thought was such a fun little touch .
I got the Cheesesteak del Maduro, and it was insanely good. The mix of sauces with the cheesesteak was packed with flavor. It’s definitely on the cheesier side, so if you want more meat, I’d go for the steak and fries next time. Still, every bite was worth it .
Pro tip: eat it right after you get it! I let mine sit for a couple hours, and it got a little greasy, but all that flavor was still there .
Overall, totally worth the hype. The view by the waterfront, the smell of the grill, and the food itself make this spot a must-visit in Hoboken ❤️. I’ll definitely be back!

Shout out to the owner of colonial grill who went above and beyond! I’ve been wanting to try this food truck for a while and finally got the chance to try it today. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the steak and fries and the steak was cooked perfectly and super tender. The fries were flavorful and tasted fantastic. The owner made sure to hook up the first few people that got there with a sample as well. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back soon!!

The Colonial Grill’s second location is located right in front of Sinatra Park and open on weekends from 2pm-9pm! Their menu can change so always check social media if you want a burger or cheesesteak de maduro, but both locations are always selling their specialty which is steak and fries! All orders come with a free sample of fries, and their steak and fries comes with their special sauce and chimichurri! Colombian father and son owned business making the best steak and fries you can find in jersey❤️

Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions were super generous, especially the burger, it was huge! My daughter couldn’t believe it, haha. We actually came back a couple of hours later to order more to take home, that’s how good it was. Everyone was so kind and attentive, too. Definitely worth the trip, we’ll be back soon!

The owner is truly an amazing gentleman. He excels in customer service, a very humble and bright man. I ordered not sure they closed at 6 and being his last customer he waited for me. When I called they were very attentive and kind. I was so sorry because of traffic and it was not nice to be late but he still served me with a big smile, him and his wonderful staff! All woman I saw truly an amazing business! Me and my husband love it! Will come back soon. No picture this time because we ate in the car.. couldn’t wait to get home! Oh also medium rare!!!!! Deliciousssssss
