We had an exceptional experience thanks to Kayla. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever being overbearing. Her knowledge of both the cocktail list and the menu was impressive offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes and explained everything with confidence and enthusiasm. You can really tell she cares about the guest experience and takes pride in what she does. We were very impressed with our meal, especially the drinks. 🙂 Service like this truly elevates a restaurant, and we’ll absolutely be back because of it. Ohh, and the vibe is chill yet quirky. If you haven’t been, make a reservation and check it out. You won’t be disappointed! ☺️

This was a great dining experience. The servers were very attentive and I liked that if you want to box. They started a to go bag for you by the table. The atmosphere was relaxing with elevated dining experience. The food was immaculate. You’re looking for a fancy restaurant with great food. The Colonels club needs to be on your list.

This restaurant is actually what a romantic date night should be. We had dinner here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in the service was great. The server was very attentive and kind. The manager came over and introduced himself.
We had coffee and dessert in the lounge after dinner. There was live music and very good vibes in the lounge. I highly recommend this place for a classy and romantic dinner.

Such a cool atmosphere, and almost all of the food was amazing. The meatball and Brussels sprouts appetizers were outstanding, and the ribeye was great. The only downside was the mashed potatoes—they weren’t to my taste and were served cold.

We had a reservation at 5:30 and as we entered the beautiful lobby area the hostesses greeted us promptly and seated as very quickly after checking us in for our reservation. The layout and aesthetics of a restaurant were absolutely breathtaking. The design and decor were very well thought thought out out to give an old English, but modern vibe. Each room had small touches of elegance. As we sat at our table, they had stylish silverware and linen napkins placed neatly on each table. Zane, our server arrived promptly in God’s water as we overlooked the drink menu. I decided on the fiery margarita. I asked him about one other cocktail and it’s a level of sweetness, and he was very knowledgeable about it so it directed me in another direction. We started off with the whipped ricotta appetizer with toast points. The ricotta was smooth and creamy and had the right balance of honey on top. I then ordered the French onion soup, which is a little above average. I was hoping for a bit more flavor, but there was nothing wrong with it. The other person in my party ordered the braised short rib pasta and I chose the crispy pork entrée. Our orders were placed by at least 5:45 PM by about 6 o’clock Zane, unfortunately had to inform me that the crispy pork entrée was sold out. I was disappointed that it was so early in the night and they were already sold out of this entrée choice. I re-looked over the menu and decided to go with the Lox wedge salad. I did not add any other protein because the salmon was already on the salad. I also added horseradish mashed potatoes. Once the entrées came out, Zane offered fresh cracked pepper over my salad. Although I was still thinking about the crispy pork, Andrea, the salad was exceptional. It had a healthy amount of salmon and capers on the salad and instead of a traditional blue cheese over a wedge it had a dill Ramallo, which was outstanding accompaniment to the salmon. I did try my dinner partner’s entree. I would give it a 7 out of 10. Although, the horseradish mashed potatoes were good they desperately needed seasoning and butter. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant was fantastic. When I entered the back area to the restroom it did circle around to the bar area, which had live music and tons of seating for patrons to enjoy.

Just found out about this place even though it’s been there for over a year. Decided to go give it a shot and we’re not let down. We got the lobster bisque and onion soup which were both delicious and warm. Really like the plating and the setup. The atmosphere is very well done and inviting. Kind of like murder on the Orient Express meets an old jazz club. We got the ribeye cooked blue rare which was superbly done, and the lobster roll which was also very good. We finished the night off with creme brulee and strawberry cheesecake and both were fabulous. Cooper was a very attentive server, drinks never ran dry, overall a very pleasant experience. We will be back.

Upon entrance the hostess were very professional & amicable. Our waitr (Philipe I remember was his name?) was wonderful &informative! About 10 minutes after being seated a random medium sized dog runs through the dining area. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, but no one knew who the owner was (if there was one) &it kinda pitter pattered about visiting various tables until someone finally escorted it out. The dog was cute but it had no reason being there.the wine list was splendid, but the Bolognese was not it- super bland, super disappointing. There’s a hallow area under the floor between the round table and bar and I swear I witnessed too many people trip over it during my dinner. After awhile it was kinda funny but still – a safety hazard (especially since the area is high traffic for women in heels). The lounge seemed nice with a cozy fire and live piano player. This place has SO MUCH potential as a restaurant, but they need to spruce up their recipes. Ambiance was there, I love their little later lights. Don’t think I am willing to come back without waiting at least another year (hopeful for improvemens).

Wonderful experience!!! The atmosphere is charming & unique especially for Baton Rouge. Our server, Phillip, was exceptional. The drinks & food was absolutely delicious. We chose the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer which were amazing. They reminded us of hot buttered popcorn. We asked Phillip to choose a second app & he scored big with the Chicken
Gyoza. The Old Fashioneds were perfect including my husband’s special order for an Azul Tequila Old Fashioned (don’t knock it till you try it….it’s really good!). Two of us ordered the Lobster Ravioli which was absolutely heavenly. One ordered the Scallops and loved them. My husband ordered the Braised Lamb Shank. The garnishes were perfect. The lamb was delicious. He did feel like it was reheated, but really liked the flavor. He still gave it high marks. We were comped a slice of cheesecake because we were celebrating a birthday & it was DEE-VIIINNNEE (and I don’t even like cheesecake!). The handwritten birthday card on the table was a really thoughtful touch. Chef Motto truly outdid himself with this meal. We have eaten in some amazing places including restaurants with Michelin stars (see some of my other reviews) & The Colonel’s Club definitely held it’s own next to some truly amazing meals. We moved to the bar counter in the restaurant (the actual bar was too crowded) for an after dinner cocktail. (We were enjoying out time there & just didn’t want to leave, but didn’t want to hold up the table either.) Again, the drinks were great. The bartenders made it clear that they really weren’t interested in small talk, but they are very talented at what they do & that is really the most important thing. As a note, they were busy, so maybe we were distracting them. Either way, that was really minor as we weren’t there to visit with them. We were celebrating our friends & life. This was our 2nd visit. Our first visit was with a different chef when they first opened. We were not nearly as impressed with the service or food at that visit. But restauranteur, Jordan Piazza, has this place running smoothly now. The service was impeccable & the decision to snag Chef Motto was definitely a good one!!!!
(Sorry there are no photos. We always take pics & just forgot, but the plating was beautiful!)
