Wild! First word I think of while I type this. In midtown Oklahoma City, OK. Ambiance has got a cool vibe, food is yummy, and staff is friendly and helpful. The Collective (love the name), is exactly that…a collection of different styles of food all wrapped up in one building. Indoor/outdoor seating, full bar on north side of building with indoor/outdoor seating. Easy going vibes on inside and possible party on the outside. Clean, kid-friendly (except bar area, of course), ADA- compliant. Parking behind building or on street.

This is a cool place for sure. There are multiple food options that you can order from before settling into a seat. When your food is ready, you get a text. The bar has pretty much everything under the sun! The indoor area is very spacious with lots of seating options. I came here with my dog and it’s perfect for dogs.

The only thing that made me knock off one star for service was the cold staff. The person I ordered tacos from looked annoyed that I was bothering to order since the place was empty. One bartender didn’t bother to make eye contact with me when I smiled and said, “hi how are you” when I walked up to order. There were only 8 others at the bar sitting so it wasn’t busy.

That’s such a small thing that isn’t a big deal. I still totally recommend this place.

The bar area was such a vibe. Perfect for a date night. All of the different restaurants were cool. We got the Philly cheesesteaks and they didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere all around. Can’t wait to go back.

The bartender was kinda rude to us, we were from out of town, and we were spending a lot of money. Just not here though. But before we left we bought 2 patron towers. They were okay. The dogs across the street were awesome. Other than that, I recommend the place down the street ‍♀️

We visited about 4 in the afternoon and there were only a few restaurants open so our selection was very limited. The enjoyed the atmosphere and adored the rooftop. However we need to revisit at a later time, when all of the restaurants are open.

I was already happy after the cheesesteak, but then I decided to try the fried taco place too — and wow. I went with chicken, chorizo, and avocado, and it was everything you want in a fried taco. Crispy, messy in the best way, and loaded with flavor. The chorizo gave it that smoky kick, and the avocado made it creamy and balanced. But the real surprise was the salsa bar. So many good options, and they clearly don’t mess around. The blueberry salsa was hands-down my favorite. It sounds different, but trust me — it works. Sweet and savory together just hit right. I love when a place does something a little creative and actually nails it. Definitely coming back for that combo again.

I love this concept! My favorite seat is at Prairie Artesian Ales! The staff is fabulous and the beers are cold. If you like things on the sweet side, Tiny Esses, Tropical Esses, and Bahama Llama are THE WAY to go! And be sure to grab some from the fridge to take home to enjoy later. Made locally in Oklahoma!

First timer here in Oklahoma. The space has good architecture and lounge area on one side, however, the bartenders were not personable at all. Good drinks, but they were rude and almost condescending. Lacy A didnt greet us and I watched them ask other people of ethnicity were they good and did they need anything else, while skipping over us. I came 2x and it was the same treatment. I won’t be back due to that. And it was humid inside each visit, sun up and sun down. Do better

The Collective is an intriguing spot that invites you to experience a little bit of everything. I appreciate the concept, which is becoming increasingly common in urban areas. However, the execution left me with some concerns, particularly when it comes to pricing.

The original idea behind places like this was to create a hub where small businesses could share resources—like utilities and space—thereby reducing waste and lowering costs. The savings, in theory, would be passed on to customers, who could enjoy higher-quality food without breaking the bank. Unfortunately, that ideal seems to have gotten lost along the way.

We sampled a few dishes and admired the space, which is undeniably beautiful. The decor throughout was thoughtfully designed, and the bathrooms were immaculate—kudos for that! However, as we wrapped up our meal, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the concept is more of a marketing pitch than a reality.

Now, let’s talk about the downsides—some of which extend beyond The Collective itself. Parking, for instance, was a nightmare. I’ll never understand how developers can create a stunning, well-thought-out venue but neglect to provide adequate parking, forcing customers to park blocks away. It’s infuriating and detracts from the overall experience.

As for the food, we dined at two spots. The Hawaiian place served good food, but two dishes for my wife and daughter totaled $37—with no drinks included. My son ordered a burger, which came to $18, including an overpriced fountain drink. Finally, my son and I tried tacos from another vendor—$30 for four small, uninspired tacos and a single drink. Altogether, we spent $78 on what amounted to a collection of small, underwhelming meals.

At least I can say I’ve been there and done that, but I’m not sure I’d be eager to return. While The Collective has charm and potential, the high prices and logistical frustrations make it hard to justify as a regular dining option.
