I cannot say enough nice things about The Coffee Mill in Rehoboth Beach. My family and I are visiting for a long weekend in January, but I have a 4+ hour training that I had to complete thru Zoom. I needed somewhere to work for a few hours and The Coffee Mill came highly rated. When I arrived, I made sure it wouldn’t be a problem if I stayed to work for a few hours. I ordered the biggest coffee I could handle and set myself up work.
A little while later, the owner came in and was making conversation with everyone who was there. Clearly there were a few locals and a few out-of-towners that the owner remembered from previous visits. After saying hello he noticed I was working and immediately offered up his other business, the Mill Creamery, across the walkway as a quiet place to work. He says he doesn’t staff the creamery in the winter, but he keeps the place open so that people who wanna work or study can have somewhere quiet to do their thing.
How thoughtful and community oriented is that?! I promptly moved across to the new to the creamery and set myself up for a the day. I ordered my lunch, which was delicious (avocado toast with all the fixings) and they offered to bring it over to me so I could keep doing my thing.
Everyone was so helpful and thoughtful. It’s so cool to still find some of these small business coffee shops where the owner really cares and the staff do a great job. Oh yeah and the coffee was great too!
Highly recommend! We gotta support the local businesses if we want to keep them around!

Lovely little coffee shop with many different options for coffee beans, breakfast, pastries, donuts, cake, açaí, smoothies and much more! Everyone was so friendly and the shop smells amazing with all the fresh beans and treats. Highly recommend!

It’s unfortunate to write a bad review about a place I absolutely could not wait to go visit. I have to write a bad review due to the owner! I came here to have breakfast and I was looking forward to it as part of my Rehoboth beach visit ritual. I was hit with a wave of rudeness by the owner. First he was being rude to a gentleman standing next to me screaming at him which I found troubling. He kept saying that he was waiting for his staff that was taking care of me to hurry up because he was taking the longest 20 minute order, he said that 3x, on the 3rd time I got annoyed because not only was he berating his staff but making me feel rushed to make my order. So I said, it has not been that long and he went off telling me that I don’t know what I’m taking about, that I would if I owned a business among other things. Super rude, then I said I would never set foot in his establishment again and he said “good I don’t ever want to see you in here again!” I just said wow and he mocked me and mumbled something about “you people” I think he was racist. I found him really ridiculous and obnoxious. Then as I waited for my food I observed him go to the baked goods area grab a muffin, drop one on the floor then the girl working back there picked it up and put it right back in the fridge after it had fallen on the floor. Then My mother-in-law went In to take a picture of him for my review so that you are all warned about the owner, he saw her and came outside to give me a very strategic and calculated apology. It was not sincere at all. I felt worse about the apology after I found out he did it because he probably knew we would write a review since we took a photo! I will never go back here again! Don’t waist your money on over priced food for a racist owner who treats his staff and customers badly!

I Love stopping in the Coffee Mill. It’s a small locally owned business that has kept the local spirit alive. My grandmother used to sit here many mornings and enjoy their delightful menu but more importantly their special friendship and banter. Now coming in reminds me of her. Especially her laugh because that’s what she did in here, owners and friends (customers) laugh and share stories while enjoying great coffee and pastries. Stop in a feel the local magic for yourself.

My favorite place to get coffee at Rehoboth. Great vibes in here, coffee is bangin and everything I’ve eaten has been delicious. Staff is super friendly. There’s not a lot of standing room but that gives you some time to chit-chat while you’re waiting for your brew. Love it here!

Place is tucked away and has some outdoor seating, and a few small tables inside. Egg and cheese bagel and both of our drinks were good, the acai bowl was delicious. Loved the pumpkin flavoring. Please know they do not bring coffee to the table, which is fine, but there were some people who didn’t know and were basically yelled at for not picking it up. It was crowded and I’m sure couldn’t hear their name being called. A few minutes later same abrupt episode happened with another customer, just didn’t seem very friendly, which is why the low star rating.
I don’t think we will be back. After we left, I mentioned how great the coffee was but I didn’t like the mojo from the owners my husband agreed and said it ruined the whole experience. Looking at the other reviews and then the owner’s responses to any negative feedback it seems like this happens more often than not. Just be kind, it’s free and people notice.

This place was so cute! I ordered an iced dirty chai with two shots of espresso and it was so yummy totally recommend! The bagel sandwich could use some more love but still a decent breakfast sandwich. Service was quick and efficient even when it got busy.

We arrived to a busy coffee shop. Probably 4 groups ahead of us, and by the time we ordered, 4 groups behind us. The owner filled half our order (two muffins), and we wanted for our drinks (a cappuccino and a brewed dark roast coffee). Everyone else in the place got their orders and we were the last ones waiting, and waiting. When we asked about the coffees, the owner said “we were busy”. No apology. No explanation. If they don’t want to work on Thanksgiving, they shouldn’t be opened.

The gentlemen running the counter was extremely friendly, but the coffee I ordered (2 large caramel iced coffees) came out as smalls at first, and was probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Tasted almost like a coffee iced tea mix or something. And for $12 for two coffees I was extremely disappointed. It was also very crowded inside, and not enough room for people to wait for how long it took to receive your order. I really wanted to support small but I wouldn’t recommended this shop. Also… 1991 would be 34 years, not 1992.

To his quiet little coffee shop. Brings you back to what a traditional coffee experience should be. Down front the second you walk into the door you are driven back to a vibe that is relaxing and calm. An don’t let me get you started on the smells that are coming from this little shop. The pastries are to die for I hear rumors of new fresh cakes and pies. An the chef they have dishing out food is making art on plates with his bold take on classic breakfast sandwiches. More new and exciting foods to come. Stop by and let yourself unwind in peace here at the coffee mill
