January 18. Well, I had to move down to a three star because I went the very next day since I really enjoyed the first day with the girls that worked there. On the second day, Saturday it took me 20 minutes to get my coffee. It was just a simple Americano coffee and I asked for it hot. After 20 minutes awaiting I inquired where it was since there were only five other people and they said they were working on it. When I finally got it, it was cold. Not warm, not hot, not iced but just cold coffee. I returned it and it took another 10 minutes to get it back. I really wanted to enjoy the coffee like I did the day before with my cinnamon bun, but unfortunately they blew it. It was too dark skinned women that were working there and unfortunately they had no personalities like they did on The day before when I was there on Friday. Setting it now to a four star luckily not a three.
The barista was nice and answered the questions we had as first time patrons. The shop was stuffy warm today. I would not have stayed to drink the coffee.
I ordered an iced latte. I asked how much espresso went into a 16 ounce drink. She said 2 ounces as a single shot. My double shots are 2 ounces so she said she would double it for me. I’m sure I got charged for it but I need the flavor to be right. I should have questioned it further to see if it was indeed a double shot and she runs the machine once thinking it is a single shot. ?? My error, I should have asked more questions. I told her how many syrup pumps I wanted as I knew in my daughter’s 24 ounce that they use SEVEN pumps of syrup. I went with my usual 2 I use at home and how I also order at the local coffee shop. It was bitter and I don’t know now if it is the the “double” shot which may have actually been 4 shots or if the coffee was just a burnt flavor.
I feel like it could have been the coffee as my daughter ordered a 24 ounce Bambino and it was bitter too. She did not change up her espresso amount and it had more milk for the size. If I drank it through the peanut butter foam is as OK but with a straw, bitter.
