I visited The Durham Coffee Bar & Kitchen, & it was a great experience. The place was very clean & well organized. The staff greeted me right away with a friendly “welcome in,” & everyone was kind & helpful. I ordered the turkey club with fries and lemonade, the food was amazing, & everything tasted fresh. The drink could’ve been a little sweeter, but it was still good after adding Splenda. I really liked the calm atmosphere, free WiFi, & open seating. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick meal or to relax with friends.

I have been here twice to eat and work! I love their food, good quality, I had their cheeseburger (I customize it with no bun and had goat cheese instead)and it was very well cooked and flavors blended very well. Last time I got their breakfast which was very good as well! My only thing is that they need more outlets as there are only three tables that have outlets which is not ideal if you to work or have meetings.

This is my favorite local spot for an easy morning, productive afternoon, or romantic low-key evening. Their service is top-notch and they have a great menu for both drinks and food. I love the puzzles, crosswords, and games they have around the seating area. There are booths, tables, and a wide variety of seating options (I come here solo often, with a friend, or in groups of 4-5). The space is open and has a great energy, and the price for quality of everything you can order is great! Definitely a gem in downtown Durham. I love their salads, French fries, breakfast menu, fried chicken, Brussels, and their dirty martini.

What a fun place! The latte I ordered was quite delicious, and made fresh. The staff is friendly, and it’s very clean. The decor is a lot of fun, mixing contemporary with a bit of late 60s/early 70s flare.
If you’re in the area and looking for a nice stop to sit and read or work on your laptop, this is a great place to do it.

Made reservations for brunch. The food was very good. The drinks were very good. The atmosphere is wonderfully midcentury. Service was fantastic. The Cobb salad was so good and very filling. The croissant sandwich was very good too!

The food was Amazing!!! The falafel was the best I’ve had in a while, especially with the sauce they provided. Drinks were a heavy pour, which is always good! Our waiter was great! The decor is simple chic, however it can be a bit drafty in there depending on what time of year you go and where they seat your party. We went in February and every time someone came in or out we could feel the cold air draft because of where our seats were. Therefore, we had to put on our coats while we ate which was not ideal. At the end of our meal. Once we payed the bill we wanted to get a snapshot to commemorate the evening because it was for a birthday and we asked a different server who told us yes she would do it. She said she’d be right back, and then she walked past our table several times without saying a word. Which was quite irritating. And it was not busy at all in the restaurant. I probably won’t be back, but I feel like it’s just because one time was enough to have the experience and to say that you’ve been to the restaurant in the Durham.

I like it! The atmosphere, music, service and food were wonderful! Is kind expensive but it’s worth, we ordered Montreal ribeye and lamb whit Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot noir wine. $160
Update: I went at breakfast time, 7:00 a.m., and there were no people. First, you order, and then they bring it to your table. The girl was very surprised, that I wanted one coffee to drink there and the other to go. I liked the breakfast, but I felt my eggs lacked flavor. The yogurt was good!

This hidden gem has the greatest vibe. Walking in, the massive open coffee area was a lol bright sunlight with eclectic style while playing Frank Sinatra. Absolutely loved every second of this place. The service at the coffee bar was excellent and quick. The lady at the front entrance walked me to the coffee bar and stated she was glad I came to try the place out. Absolutely gorgeous place! The music matches the quirky, cute, eclectic, style this place completely.

I did not expect to find an upscale coffee shop located within a hotel. The Coffee Bar at The Durham Hotel is a wonderful choice, especially for alternative style coffee drinks. They use quality Counter Culture beans and add some upscale chef inspiration. I will definitely be back. Grab a drink and a snack and sit back and relax. This place is still exceptional. Love coming here.

I booked this restaurant for my birthday. It wasn’t giving luxury to me personally. They can definitely fix up the inside needs a makeover. I wanted the roof top but it wasn’t available that’s how I ended up in the restaurant. The food was pretty good however and the service was good. I had the duck and it was prepared perfect. To my ladies that likes taking bathroom pics lol this bathroom doesn’t make the cut. Overall decent spot but not really fancy about it.
