The CODfather is the ONLY place in town to get PROPER fish and chips. Our WORLD FAMOUS fish and chips are hand made the traditional British way. HUGE 8oz North Atlantic Cod fillets dipped in our own recipe wet batter and cooked until golden brown. Chippy chips hand cut daily from only premium crop potatoes and cooked twice for perfection. We also bake our own line of savory British style meat pies and sausage rolls. In the pub we have a selection of draught beer from the old country and local craft beers. Wine also available. Fantastic Fish & Chips, just like how I remember at Elgin Crescent and Camden. Prices are competitive and located in a convenient shopping plaza. Friendly and quick service both in person and over the phone with social media updates too. Decorations are a bit barebone outside of the bar area and frankly feels more like an afterthought to the pub. Dining area feels like a generic fast casual restaurant that was converted haphazardly but there’s some interesting bits and bobs. They’re very generous with their to-go fixings too so unless you’re starving, I’d really advise you pop back home to enjoy your food.

First time ever eating here, though I have passed by several times.
First experience was great, no frills good eats, fish and chips (fish and fries). I had the World Famous, definitely worth it.
I only gave it a 4 stars for food due to limited items on the menu, however service was top notch, and atmosphere was good.

Decent, affordable meal with friendly service. The fish is tough but the coating is good and crisp when it comes out. Just be sure to open the box right away before it steama and gets soggy. Hard surfaces and loud music make it impossible to talk.

The best cod fillet in the area. Huge selection of draft beers. Served English style but with a thin tasty and crispy batter. Very similar to a buffalo style fish fry. Will not disappoint.

Best fish and chips in USA. Reminds me of growing up in England. Great portion, quality piece of cod, perfect amount of batter and the curry sauce was the best, proper chips as well.
Great atmosphere, loved the decor. Bar area was warm and inviting, TVs at the perfect viewing angle.

Restaurant was clean and well kept. Saw they had a food truck out back, looked very nice and clean as well.

We make sure to stop at codfather every trip we make from Atlanta. So good. Also want to add, this location is better than the other Charleston location. I preferred the butty bun here and as you can see from the photo, the serving size is very generous. My husband is from UK and the fish and chips remind him of the ones he had growing up. 10/10. I wish we had one in Atlanta area.

Woke up craving fried fish this morning, and I’m so happy I found this place!! That was probably the best peice of cod I’ve ever had in my entire life! Not to mention the best tartar sauce to go along with it! The batter on the fish is so light and crisp and it’s fresh! The service was also amazing as well! I will definitely be back again!

First time here and I am very enthusiastic. Its supprisingly easy to ruin basic British foods but the fish and chips were delicious. The cod was tasty and moist. The breading added a great deal of crunch and was not overloaded with grease. I wad able to use my microwave, not the air cooker, to revive the food for a second meal. The staff was happy to see us and i know I will be welcomed back when i go again, soon. There is a full bar in the adjacent section of the restaurant. There is seating outside which we took advantage of as the day was beautiful.
