Wow. I am Srilankan, and what an unexpectedly pleasant surprise this place was. The food was absolutely delicious!! Nothing we ordered was amiss in terms of flavour. It was delicious through and through. I’m getting hungry even typing it. A lot of the dishes felt so traditional it was as if my mum made them. The service was also brilliant – Mia did an amazing job serving us. The atmosphere was nice, no real complaints.
Definitely visit this place if you want authentic, bold flavours bursting in your mouth. Mmm mmm mmm.

What a flavourful and fresh lunch! My mouth is watering just thinking about the delicious cheesy Columbo… it tastes as amazing as it looks. The service was warm and genuine, I wasn’t made to feel awkward for eating solo (which can happen in some places), and I was grateful for the offer to rest my weary back against a warm radiator! I ordered from the lunch menu, which was both quick and great value for money. Highly recommended.

My first try of Sri Lankan food and I could not be happier! So many different dishes on offer and many vegan options which was great to see.
A must try place with great vibes, tasty food and lovely staff!

My number one restaurant in Bath. The Roots menu is everything please please make it permanent I’m begging you. The Tofu Colombo, Kale and Cabbage, and the Tofu Kotthu should be in the permanent menu! The hot battered mushrooms and the chickpeas were delicious as always, I think we had a good chef last night as everything was flavorful, a bit oily (yum!) and not dry. The manager and Lilan took care of us very well, thank you! Love that TCT caters for vegan customers incredibly well with its extensive vegan menu and options

Good place for an intro to Sri Lankan food. We really enjoyed the fish curry. Overall the food is fine, but not amazing. Service was fabulous though and our waitress, Mia, did a great job with recommendations.

My partner and I stopped in here during our December trip through England, as we never had Sri Lankan food before, so we were curious about this place.
We had five dishes: the Hopper, Negombo sea bass curry, Hot battered cauliflower, a Black pork curry dish, Parotta roti flat bread and rice.
The portion sizes are ideal for being served family style, where we got to try a little of everything, and each of the dishes were quite delicious. We think for two persons, three small entrees and rice would be ideal.
The restaurant was pretty much full when we were there, and the restaurant staff was operating like a well oiled machine, and still had time to fraternize or catch up with their regular customers.
Overall, a great place, worthy of checking out.
Good cocktails as well!

Easily the best bottomless brunch in Bath! Highly recommend; came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and wasn’t disappointed. I promise you won’t leave hungry — or sober! The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, as were the cocktails. Our server Marina was so attentive and accommodating, too! Definitely get a Sri-Presso Martini to round out your experience. Delicious!

I really enjoyed visiting the Cononut Tree. I turned up without booking in advance or anything and the food was delicious and the wait staff, especially Lilam, were extremely helpful and attentive.
The standout as far as the food is concerned was the calamari, cooked perfectly and the flavour with the polenta was amazing, and the Rio cocktail was very nice
I will be back next time I am in Bath and highly recommend to anyone visiting

Delicious food, amazing mocktails and great service! We had a pleasant experience at the coconut tree, our server Ash was very attentive and gave us recommendations. The portion sizes may not look big but they do fill you up very quickly. The calamari in particular was the star of the show! We’d love to come back to try the other half of the menu.

We ordered a delivery from Coconut Tree via Uber eats – unfortunately the wait was much longer than originally stated and when the food came it was incredibly damaged – curry had leaked everywhere and the bag had ripped
I’m all for eco friendly packaging but I think some dishes (such as the saucy chicken curry!) definitely require something more practical than a paper box!
It was a shame as the food that remained in the boxes was absolutely delicious and really flavourful!! However we would consider eating in next time to avoid the mess!
