Fantastic restaurant with beautiful scenery. I was staying on the property and decided to try the restaurant, which turned out to be a great choice. The food is unique and very well executed.

The flageolet cassoulet was excellent. A really interesting mix of meats that worked together beautifully and felt genuinely special. The beef ragu was also very good, with nicely cooked beef. The gnocchi were more like baked dough balls than traditional gnocchi, with about ten pieces in the dish, but still enjoyable.

For sides, the potatoes were excellent. The broccolini was tasty but very small in portion size. Dessert was cheesecake, which was well made but very dense and loaf-like. My fiancée enjoyed it more than I did.

Breakfast food was good, but the mandatory 20 percent gratuity was disappointing. Service was noticeably weaker than dinner, and we often had to get up to ask for things ourselves. If service is minimal, a mandatory tip does not feel appropriate. Raising menu prices slightly and allowing guests to tip based on experience would feel more fair.

The Cliff House is a special place. I recently stayed at Prospect Berkshires for three nights… I planned on trying The Cliff House for a few meals, and then venturing out for others. I never ended up leaving… The Cliff House was THAT good, that I had breakfast and dinner there all 3 mornings and nights! Everything on the menu is excellent from the omelettes and cappuccinos at breakfast, to the squash and trout at dinner (100/10). Oh, and don’t miss the hot chocolate! The physical space is so cozy, the view is incredible, and the staff was so kind and accommodating. I was traveling alone and they made me feel right at home. It is an absolute must visit if you are in the area. I can’t wait to go back!

This is an amazing farm to table restaurant which is in the unique setting that is not quite a boutique hotel and not quite glamping – the cabins of Prospect Berkshires. The Cliff House is a restaurant on the property (open to those who are not staying in the cabins) where the food is not only delicious and well prepared, but in a truly breath-taking setting. Everything we ordered was well prepared, interesting, and excellent. As appetizers, we enjoyed the Rainbow Carrots and Fish Croquettes. We both enjoyed our main courses, the Steelhead Trout and Lamb Stew (which our server said is quite popular, and remarkably light for such a dish). They also have some interesting drinks – alcoholic and alcoholic. Service was excellent – attentive but not overbearing, and really pleasant staff. It is worth coming here 30 minutes before sunset (if the timing works) so you can see the grounds, take in the golden light, and enjoy the slow change over to night. Reservations often fill up at this restaurant, and once you come you will know why!

Magical and peaceful location with excellent cocktails, wine list and food! The location by the lake is so beautiful! As soon as we parked we were greeted our golf cart driver who gave us a ride to the restaurant and told us about the cabins in the property (can’t wait for a staycation!!). We were escorted by the cutest family of ducklings quacking alongside us. Restaurant is a sight to behold! We started with the buttered bread toasts that were mouthwatering and delicious (seriously never had such tasty bread!!), then beef carpaccio, asparagus, kale salad (which I sometimes find it’s like chewing hay, but this one was deliciously dressed and went down easy!!). We had the chicken breast (boneless, juicy and succulent) and the trout. Every bite perfectly cooked, fresh, so satisfying! Nancy Thomas nailed it again!!! Sooo good! The location is incredibly beautiful and look forward to a stay at the gorgeous cabins next time!

We had a wonderful experience at The Cliff House, where we celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday. We were lucky enough to get a last-minute table, even though reservations were fully booked for the entire week — a huge thank you to Lannon for accommodating us!

The food was excellent, and we loved the presentation. The drinks not only looked amazing, they tasted even better. I’ll be making an excuse to be back wayyyy sooner rather than later! Thanks again, Cliff House!!

We can’t rave enough about Chef Damian Evangelous’s brilliant cuisine at The Cliff House. We had two dinners there recently and everything was phenomenal. Truly exquisite in all aspects. We tried everything from the small bites, apps, mains, drinks, and desserts and there wasn’t a miss. Remarkably spectacular was his deconstructed vegetarian mushroom main dish. The steak was perfectly prepared and delicious. And did I mention the perfectly prepared chicken? Yum. You MUST try this place before Chef Damian winds up in NYC!

Had the pleasure of dining at the Cliff House this week. It was a wintery snow globe experience as we walked down to the restaurant. The menu is a beautiful map and homage to the Berkshires and its seasons. Simplistic and elevated. Dishes capturing snapshots of the ephemeral seasons in each decadent bite. The seared duck breast with sweet potato, mustard greens, and roasted quince jus. Stunning, every bite was heavenly. Thank you Chef Damien and Cliff House staff. Sometimes you eat a meal and it brings you back to life.

We are picky eaters. But we really like Cliff House. We don’t personally know them or have any financial interest in the place! But the food is delicious. A lot of places up here (Hudson Valley/Berkshires) are inconsistent but not Cliff House. The food is great, the service is excellent and the place is inviting, good looking and spacious. You need to have their covered golf cart take you to the restaurant from the parking lots but that’s really easy and fast.

Wow. We are local business owners and have eagerly anticipated this opening . Arrived on a rainy Saturday to be greeted by friendly staff offering a ride to the restaurant in a golf cart – ensuring we would be seated dry and in good spirits . Speaking of spirits , had lovely drinks followed by equally lovely apps . One of which was correctly lauded in the recent Travel and Leisure article / if the rainbow carrots are on the menu- highly suggest them ! Nice portions . The staff were all F/B veterans and many knew us from patronizing their former restaurants- made for a welcoming connection. The mains were nicely paced to arrive after we finished starters . Terrific lamb dish and veggie sides – which the chef prepared to order (request for no garlic). Order the buttered toast – worth it ! We skipped dessert – although they looked inviting . The coffee was hot and delicious . The bill was another pleasant surprise- quite reasonable given our full meal and drinks . High ceilings , good ambience and acoustics – we sat next to a big family with lots of kids but could still enjoy a conversation . We are already looking forward to our next visit – and if we don’t make reservations , looks like we can walk in and eat at the bar . Finally, the sheepskin lined seats all surrounded beautiful views of the lake and woods . This spot is a classic in the making . Welcome to the neighborhood. Best wishes for much success . You are certainly off to a strong start !

Hard to say what was my favorite part about my experience at the Cliffhouse. Walking up to the restaurant the scenery was absolutely magical and serene. Would go alone for just the view alone but then add on the fantastic food and there is nothing bad about this place. Highly reccommend you will enjoy your experience no doubt
