The Clif Tavern is one of Clifton’s oldest establishments. Built in the 1800s, the tavern was bought in 1999 by the late Skip Kazer. Skip, a friend to all who knew him, ran the bar and spread peace and love to all of his patrons. The Clif, still a local dive, will continue to keep Skip’s memory alive by embracing the culture and family vibe it’s known for.

Was my first time here what was some friends crowd was early ’20s to maybe 30s for the most part music was good it was a varied coming off of the jukebox I had a beer and we shared appetizer of some wings which are very good and fries. They do have a pool table so it’s an option and we will be going back we had fun!

Haven’t been there in a while but soon as I walked in the welcome was 100% Skip vibes! Staff was really nice, especially Hanif, and once I realized I knew who makes the chili I damn near drooled on the bar. ERIC IS THE KING OF CHILI, GET IT PEOPLE!! I’m definitely coming back

The atmosphere was pretty decent. We wasn’t greeted upon entering & nobody came to our table for about 15 min and the bartender apologized for that. The drinks were a 7 out of 10. We all order wings & they were a 6.7 out of 10…they wasn’t seasoned at all just fried with sauce put on them and it gave off a bland taste. Will I come again ? No
