A nice place to stop for a cup of coffee and some pastry. The atmosphere plays a bigger role than the coffee beans themselves, in my opinion.

I recently visited The Clever Cup and was so impressed! I am more of a Herbal Hot Tea drinker and this was the perfect spot to have tea with my best friends who had a mix of tea and coffee drinks. The shop itself has a simple charming feel with plenty of seating. I could relax or sit with my laptop and get a bit of work done in a cozy friendly environment. Love the art events! The owner Tracy is sweet and the staff very friendly! I’ll definitely be back for another delicious cup!!

As a local here in SRQ, I have found this local hot spot to be the perfect place to enjoy some quality time with my friends chatting away over fresh organic Coffee and Tea drinks. I love the atmosphere, I love that this shop gives a truly pleasant family type vibe right after you walk in. I had the honor of sharing in some art and music events here with more to come, as this Coffee Shop is the MOST Clever in creating unique events that keep us all coming back for more!! Love the owner Tracy and her gorgeous hand done paintings made by dipping paint brushes in brewed coffee like watercolors, how unique and some painted faces of local Clever Cup fans in the mix! Then they also help support young new and coming musicians, local artists of many kinds, and the best events to look forward to. Where do I even begin. Just wow. Clever Cup and their employees have created the perfect little getaway nestled in the rat race of Gulf Gate. Can’t say anything other than thank you to the Clever Cup team! The nice little boy with black hair and a Cape Cod shirt never fails to impress! This quaint coffee shop has a variety of speciality coffees. The two young men making the drinks were super friendly and helpful! My husband got the French toast cold brew and I got Dubai Chocolate Latte. We both requested slightly sweetened and they did great! I’d highly recommend the shop and plan to return if we ever visit the area again. They have whole organic beans for sell too.

Wanted to love this place. Great interior and atmosphere. Would have been great to have somewhere in Gulf Gate to grab a coffee at 4pm.
Twice I’ve gone to order espresso drinks and it’s just different 20 yr olds who don’t know what they are doing pulling shots.
I asked what kind of beans they were using for espresso and the young boy said “unfortunately I don’t know, it’s some espresso bean”. Not surprisingly the taste is way off.
I’m sure the lattes taste fine with milk and syrup but if you are going to be a coffee shop please invest in some staff/training. You already have the machine.
