The food at The Classic Grill at Madden’s was so good! It all looked so beautiful, as well! I got the Thai chicken bowl (first pic), my husband got the pork tenderloin medallion (2nd pic), and my son had scallops for the first time and loved them. He also had a side of Aztec rice, I believe it was called. The people there were so polite and attentive!! Great place!!

Absolutely best restaurant I’ve been to in Minnesota. I wish they had the classic grill in the cities, but it’s always a special treat coming to our lake home and getting the experience of eating here. The food is phenomenal, the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is unmatched. Every time I visit, I can count on trying one of the new menu items and being in awe of the flavors and presentation. The favorite orders of our group were the Indonesian chicken satay appetizer, the chef’s risotto, and the truffle citrus scallops. My attached picture won’t do it justice, but the presentation of the meals is so unique. If they had Michelin star restaurants in Minnesota, this would for sure be in the running. Maddens resort is truly the best location for dining and lodging in the Brainerd area.

Love Maddens Classic! We love the beautiful decor, the staff is always wonderful and the food isn’t your usual cuisine. Our meal was good, my Crablegs were too small but still tasty, otherwise everything was tasty. We always look forward to our next dinner at The Classic!

The food is fantastic. We ate lunch here four days in a row on our recent stay at Madden’s. Fantastic variety and lots of great flavors. The patio is a very popular place and becomes full very quickly at lunch time. Service can be a bit slow when full, but the staff still do a great job. Highly recommend.

For our friends anniversary dinner we chose The Classic Grill. It was recommended to us by Tom at the main clubhouse and our experience surely did not disappoint. All of our meals were above and beyond our expectations. Special call out for the creme brulee and the banana cream cheesecake.
Another aspect that we all appreciated was the value for our meals. We felt the same experience in the Twin Cities would have been at least 30% higher in price.
We plan to go back when we visit again and jokingly even mentioned we’d drive from the Cities for that value and our experience.
