10 years ago I had an amazing 3am breakfast here. I was excited to stop in again, that quickly faded. Here’s why-
None of the employees I interacted with cared about the quality of my food or experience. I felt they were completely uninterested. My satisfaction was not on the radar. With service just good enough to keep you from walking. The food was mediocre. Tasting like it was made with entry-level ingredients.
Even management seems checked out. Outside their sign says “Happy New Year” … it’s 50+ days into 2026.
And all of this is forgivable: because I can stop in at 4:00am and get a steak and pancake. But “open 24 hours” actually means 7am – 11pm.

The place was pretty big, a lot of room.
The staff was kind but they took a bit of time to address our requests. The food was good, everything you can expect from a diner.
It is NOT 24hrs as advertised at the location so be aware of this!!!

Very very upset with my service today I got it to go order and I spent over a hundred and $100 my food comes cold and when I heat it up it’s hard I can’t even eat it it’s disgusting in The Omelette the sausage is raw I can’t believe it’s the holidays family owned restaurant trying to get my money back off Uber eats and they say I can’t have a refund at this time. My dad took me to this restaurant a long time ago and it was so good that’s why I ordered from here I’ve been ordering from Pontiac restaurants like altadona’s and Perry Street grill and this is how my food comes so that’s why I chose to order from you guys and then my food comes just like those restaurants highly upset and very disgusted with how my food came

My mom and I stopped in for brunch and we were not disappointed. The service was stellar. We received our food quickly. Everything was delicious.
We ordered Coney dogs and fries as well as half an order of very very French toast. I definitely wouldn’t mind being a regular here.

Awesome to see Royal Diner back strong. Our go to for comfort food especially Breakfast. Make sure your hungry as they have Larger portions

Absolutely fantastic! 10/10!!! Great service, clean dining, food came out fast and was top tier. Best hollandaise sauce ive ever had! I dont know where they get their potatoes, or what they do with them, but those hashbrowns and waffle fries were out of this world! I knew from the building they were gonna be great, then the menu was clue two that they were tried and true. Definitely stop by if you are out that way!

DO NOT ORDER THE CLUB SANDWICH, THEY CLEARLY DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT WITHOUT TOOTHPICKS KEEPING EVERYTHING TOGETHER. After taking them out of the sandwich it is a free for all of condiments and lunch meat. DO BETTER!!

Relaxing place to talk with deep booths; space to spread pot of pipe in a large family. Megan was top notch, smiled like she knew you from way back, and was always attentive without interrupting. Breakfast for dinner was a treat, with generous portions and a coffee pot for the table. When we want to be comforted, here’s our place to treat ourselves! It’ll be yours too.

If I had made this review a week ago, it would have been 10 stars. However, the experience I had tonight, was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I called in a carryout- 15 minutes there, 15 minutes back. I got home, and my order was wrong. I called them right away, they asked me to bring the food back- my husband was starving after a 12 hour shift, so he started eating his. But I did take mine back. Which to me, is crazy. How is that helping them, to have food that was in my possession. Anyways, Liz, the incredibly unprofessional “manager” was so very rude. After asking to speak to a manager, I tried letting her know that the employees made me feel stupid for bringing back the order that they messed up. My husband and I brag and BRAG on this place, and have been coming there 1-2 times a week for almost 3 years now. This is all really unfortunate. But I won’t tolerate this. My time, my gas, their mistake- and I get treated horribly. Shame on you, Liz. You should look into a different career. I will be contacting the owner. That’s not how you talk to, or treat people.
