My husband and I were looking for a new restaurant to try on a Saturday night and decided on the Claremont Tavern. Beware, there is absolutely no parking so be prepared to drive around. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated fairly quickly. Luckily we had gotten there early. The tavern had a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff were very nice, although it was obvious there was not enough of them. We were seated on the second floor and placed our order fairly quickly. We ordered a cheeseburger and their thin crust pizza so we could share. My first issue was that the hamburger came with no sides. No chips, fries or anything else. There were 2 onion rings on top of the burger but neither of us like those. For the price, at least some chips would have been nice l. My two biggest issues were that we waited over an hour for our meal and the pizza was burnt on top and mushy on the bottom, but at that point I was so hungry I would have eaten anything. Our drinks were just okay and the server was clearly overwhelmed so he didn’t bat an eye when we left most of the pizza. The burger was good, but not good enough to make me go back.

Be aware that the food takes a little bit of time to get out of the kitchen because they were very busy but it was 1,000% worth the wait. We got 2 of their side dishes as apps, the flank steak salad, and a buffalo, chicken, bacon, pizza. All were delicious. The salad was one of most unique salad combinations I have ever had. I highly recommend.

This is one of our favorite places everything on the menu is delicious. Owners are so nice they make you feel right at home. My new favorite is the crab cake special! So Amazing!!!!! Turkey burgers are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Salads are huge and leave you with leftovers. Try the salmon on a salad you won’t be disappointed. My husband loves the burgers and wings. But we actually have never had anything we didn’t like. Great staff! Love this place!!!

We had a lovely lunch at the Claremont Tavern. We were lucky to get there just before the lunch rush – they fill up quickly! We went on Sunday during their brunch hours. We had the Angus breakfast sliders, the Steak and arugula panini, and the yucca fries. Everything was delicious! Very filling, ended up taking a lot of the fries home. Price was fair, service was good.

Chuck’s of garlic all on that bowl. Burgers are juicy and full of flavor. The only thing we didn’t enjoy to much was the onion rings. They were way to greasy.

Food is consistently good, not a bad thing on the menu. We had fish tacos and beer battered shrimp…delish !
I decided to indulge in a dirty martini this past Wednesday evening…it was the size of a small hot tub !

Great pub atmosphere for a brew or casual dinner. The burgers are epic, definitely great selection, and huge, with their famous (and massive) onion rings stabbed (literally) on top. They also have good salads. The interior can feel a little dark, and there’s an events room upstairs you can book, complete with its own bar and TVs (typically for sports games). The best part is the backyard patio that was opened during the pandemic, it’s not always open but definitely a cool atmosphere with hanging lights on nice summer nights. They also offer take-out and you can call ahead to order. Much better experience dining in. It’s on the pricier side compared to your average pub, but the food is also a cut above.

We love coming here on slower days (lunch time before 4). If you come on a weekend at 5 and later, you’re waiting over an hour for a table and if you are lucky enough to be seated, it will take you at least 30 minutes to put your order in. They are very understaffed and have been for some time. The food is good, they have the best burgers! Its a cute cozy place, but unless they get more staff then we won’t be coming here often.

I am writing this review with deep disappointment after how my husband was treated while dining here during lunch on Friday, November 14th. What should have been a simple, enjoyable meal turned into an experience marked by disrespect and behavior that felt discriminatory and entirely unacceptable.
The woman serving during that lunch shift spoke to my husband in a tone that was noticeably short and dismissive. When asked any questions, her responses was rude, clipped, and condescending. At the end of the meal, she even threw the bill onto the table, a gesture that was shockingly unprofessional and blatantly disrespectful. Meanwhile, other customers around us were treated with patience, warmth, and basic courtesy.
My husband did absolutely nothing to warrant this behavior. He was respectful and polite the entire time, which made the contrast in how he was treated even more alarming and painful to witness.
No one deserves to be made to feel unwelcome, especially in an establishment that relies on community support and hospitality.
Restaurants set the tone for their environment, and this one failed spectacularly. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their employees to ensure that EVERY customer is treated with respect, regardless of who they are.
Until then, we will not be returning, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone who values fairness, dignity, and professionalism.
