Food here is spectacular! Tried the lobster roll (it was good, but I enjoyed the other menu items even more) with homemade onion rings (wow!) My hubby had the combination plate with fried shrimp & fried oysters and that was AMAZING! BEST FRIED SHRIMP & OYSTERS in SWFL. The batter is so good, not greasy with the perfect flavor and crunch. Perfectly fried seafood. The coleslaw was incredible as well. They also bring out several delicious sauces. Really recommend this place for lunch or dinner. It’s a much more relaxed/ casual vibe inside. The service was great as well : )

Some of the best new England clam chowder I’ve ever had, and the fried clam strips were amazing. They have 3 dipping sauces: tarter, cocktail, and a sauce that’s kind of like a spicy 1000 island dressing or “yum yum sauce”. Service was attentive, polite, and friendly, and the establishment was clean. Plus, ample parking even on a busy day. Worth all 5 stars!

We drove by this place a few times and needed to give it a try! We tried a 1/2 pint of the clam strips, clam chowder, middle neck clams (clam shack style), and fish and chips (which came out as one big fish and a bunch of fries). The clam strips were meaty and breaded well. Highly recommend these! The middle neck clams were also delicious. The accompanying garlic bread was super tasty. The clam chowder was good, but not as good as the chowder I had in Boston. The fish and chips were a good portion for the price. If you’re in the mood for New England style food, this is for you!

As we biked along Periwinkle way, we stopped at this place to try out their food. We had the seafood special for two (which comes with two chowders but we upgraded one to lobster bisque), lobster rolls , and two kids meals (burger). They have good quality food . The chowder is not the best I’ve had but decent. The lobster bisque has chunks of lobster meats but not as flavorful as the one at The Island Cow. The seafood plate for two has some New England clams that I love! The fish that was in the plate was a bit dry and overcooked. The presentation was grand. Lobster roll was very good. I would probably do the lobster roll again if I visit this place again during our stay in Sanibel.

Unfortunately, our otherwise good experience was ruined by a case of food poisoning from the mayo based tartar sauce left sitting out on the tables and warm to the touch.
I didn’t think about it at the time, and thought the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were refrigerated and set out for each customer, but after two days flat on my back with evacuated bowels, I recalled that it was warm to the touch, and I confirmed that was the only person in my party of 4 (6pm on a Monday) who used the tartar sauce.
Otherwise, the Ipswich clams were excellent as well as the “regular” clams and the live music was great – just the lack of proper food handling made it so we won’t be back.

The clam shack is a very family friendly place. I did not think the clam strips were good because of the breading every one else liked it though . There famous Ipswich calms imported from Massachusetts were just as good as the ones in Ipswich. The fried oysters are juicy and fat. The portines were plenty. The sweet potato fries were to die for most definitely worth the extra dollar. They had very fast service.

Great place for seafood and drinks. Atmosphere was awesome and the server was informative and friendly. Definitely a Bostonian flare for those from up north.
Had live music our night there and kept with the flow of where we were.
Crab legs were pricy, but our seafood platter was about what you would expect. Food and drinks for 3 hit $$$. All in all a wonderful place to hit in Sanibel.

After finding this place on Instagram, we decided to try it during our vacation. The staff was very friendly and really knew the menu well. The food was delicious. We could hear our clam strips being fried in the kitchen for our appetizer. My husband and I also shared a cup of the lobster bisque. It was delicious! Quite a few large pieces of lobster meat in it as well. We each had out own lobster roll and they were amazing. So much lobster meat that it was spilling out, but so light and delicious! I had onion rings and my husband had sweet potato fries with his meal. Both were so light and tasted great! We will definitely be visiting again.

Tried this place out after doing some shopping on the mainland. It was good, but boy was I regretting not getting the lobster roll. It looked amazing! We got the calamari, a burger, and the haddock sandwich. The burger was a mistake. It was overcooked and Mediocre at best! The Haddock sandwich was great though and the calamari was good too. It was a bummer they didn’t serve liquor… beer and wine only.
