For a $12 sandwich there should be more meat than 2 paper thin slices and they’re not at all generous with the potato chips. The soup was runny and watered down. No flavor, no chicken, with a small amount of rice. Can’t say I’d ever come back nor do I recommend this place. A Delicatessen should pile on the meat. This wimpy sandwich had no more than 2 oz of corned beef. A cup of soup, the tiny sandwich and tip cost $22.50. That was outrageously expensive and when we mentioned the soup was watered down, we got an “I’m sorry” followed by 2 free chocolate chip cookies. The owners definitely need to learn what their customers expect at these prices.

Wanted to try this place since I love a good sandwich shop. The service was awesome, super nice. Where it wasn’t so great was the food. My three picky littles split the cheese flatbread pizza, and said it was good. My oldest got a pepperoni flatbread pizza and he said it tasted like it was a frozen pizza. He’s a bit more of a tough critic. My husband got the corned beef sandwich and was mildly pleased with it. He was very disappointed in the size of the sandwich for how much it cost. He was shocked that the sandwich was over $12 and was the size of a child’s sandwich. Also, it looked like the side of chips was half of a single serving bag dumped on the tray. It was weird. He said it was just ok tasting. I got the tuna sandwich grilled on panini bread and I thought it was pretty good. My sandwich was a pretty good size, but it’s like they split a single serve bag between my husbands tray and mine. It was a pricy meal for a couple sandwiches and a couple flatbread pizzas.

The food is very good, I only wish the portions were a bit bigger. My favorite sandwich shop is also one of my favorite restaurants of all time so I went in wanting reasons to go to that other place. However, I couldnt find really anything to dislike. The service was quick and friendly despite being packed. There was indoor and outdoor seating, all full, and a line out the door, but I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my wrap, and the tables cleared quickly enough to easily find a seat. The prices are (mostly) reasonable for the main items, though nearly $8 for Kraft mac N cheese sounds insane to me. I’ll definitely be going back though. Very tasty food.

City Deli is one of my favorite places in town. Their menu selection is large and there is something for everyone. I go there for lunch all the time and dine in often. It’s great for a sit down or quick pick up. The staff is very friendly and on top of things. If you are looking for a great lunch option in Holland check them out!

Great little sandwich place in downtown Holland, MI. The food is good and the service even better. We got the turkey supreme, and th Chicago on a spinach wrap. The turkey was the better choice. Lovely to sit outside on a beautiful day and enjoy fresh made sandwiches. It’s a good place to bring your whole family

I have come here twice and both times did not disappoint! The food is fantastic. In fact you don’t feel heavy after eating it. The customer service is on point! Hands-down, some of the best customer service I’ve experienced consistently in a long time! Thank you for a wonderful lunch date with my kiddo!!!

Amazing sandwich, I tried their special, the not so ordinary BLT, it was awesome, local cinnamon bread toasted with goat cheese and some delicious sauce with the usual BLT accoutrements, I just wish it was bigger because I didn’t want to stop eating it!! My wife loved her chicken salad wrap. And they have the great lakes chips which I love.

Highly recommend for a lunch stop downtown Holland! The food is fresh ingredients, homemade kettle chips, and yummy potato salad. I had the teriyaki crunch wrap and my hubby had the San Francisco. We went back the next day to get the exact same order.

The food and service are great, but the portion sizes are a little small. I got the Tex Mex and Denver sandwhich. It’s really good. They have many options available. Food should be like 4.5 star

I had the Ruben. It was the perfect amount of corned beef, saurkraut, 1000 island dressing to bread. Was the best I have ever had. Kettle chips were wonderfully seasoned. My wife had a chicken wrap. She said hers was amazing as well.
