You hear Bodega, and being from NY, if you know, you know. I was super excited to support the Bodega. It is in a store front but that is not always bad. In this case, it was ok. The service was good. We did have to wait fifty minutes for out two meals. I’m not sure why since, it was not packed at all. There were three other people waiting, my husband and me. I figured they had to make everything from scratch to include the bread. My husband ordered the catfish and grits, and I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The pictures will tell you what I missed. I am not sure what kind of breading was used on the catfish. It looked and tasted like old batter and maybe it was refried. In the pictures, you will see some of the catfish looks different. The grits were ok. The presentation of my sandwich made me shake my head. There was nothing spectacular about this sandwich. I am still baffled as to why we waited so long for this terrible food.

Craig & His Wife Monica created an amazing experience to develop food that’s super flavorful while not being overpriced. A lot of restaurants charge you a lot for less portions but The City Bodega is generous. Brunch all day day & fresh ingredients. The food is consistently cooked to perfection. I’ve had the Turkey Club & The pancake Platter. By the way the grits are crazy good which is actually hard to find despite being in the south. 10 out of 10.

If you’re from NY and want a taste of home, come here. The food is a 10/10. Owned and operated by real New Yorkers. The food is fresh. The chopped cheese was bussin. The fries were crispy on outside, soft on the inside, and well seasoned. It came with a can of soda. I spent $13.77 total.

This was my first time visiting this establishment. I woke up wanting a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, knowing Bodegas are not common in Georgia, I searched online for restaurants that made this sandwich and found this store. The sandwich was good and filling. The guys working in the store was nice and friendly. The wait for the food wasn’t quick but it wasn’t long; it’s worth the wait. I could tell the food was good because the store was packed and the orders kept coming. I will definitely visit again and order something different. I’m a big supporter of small businesses especially when the focus is the client experience. Check them out, give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for my sandwich it was delicious!!!

Phenomenal! I got “The Charleston” , which is shrimp and grits and my wife got the biscuits and gravy plate called “Southern Thang” oh and we also got a side of French toast. Everything was five stars.! Hot fresh and delicious. Quite frankly, the best shrimp grits I’ve ever had. Their creole sauce takes it to a whole nother level. Monica Craig and Chris took great care of us! This is a must try for anyone who wants breakfast brunch or lunch. Support local businesses!!

About two weeks ago, I was trying to get something to eat, and I knew I didn’t want what I call a “fake burrito.” For me, that’s anything from fast-food places. I wanted something authentic—real sausage, real fried potatoes with onions and peppers, and cheese (even though I didn’t get cheese this time). I wanted food that tasted real.
The tortilla was perfect, just cooked right, with that amazing light crisp. And when I tell you that burrito was like manna from heaven, I mean it. It was absolutely amazing. Every bite was perfection.
I had to go out of town shortly after, but now that I’m back, I’m going again. This time, I’m trying their shrimp omelet. I asked my daughter if she wanted anything, and of course, she chose the burrito, because once you’ve had it, you understand.
I’m just so excited to eat there again. It truly feels like food for the soul. I’m so grateful for people who cook with their heart, and this place does exactly that. You can taste the love, the care, and the soul in the food. It’s simply amazing.
I love good food, and this is heavenly food.

My husband and I showed up right when they opened. He ordered the French toast platter (which he said was really good) and I got the Momma C which was very good. The portions were nice in size and the food was very hearty and good. We received excellent customer service from the owners. We will definitely be back!

Daaaaaaaang! And that biscuit is every bit of somebody granma recipe. It’s as delicious as it looks. Everything is delicious! Order ahead though; they are extremely popular and busy. Pretty much take-out only (i.e., minimal seating). Coming back to try one of everything.

First of all, I give credit where credit is due, especially when it comes to restaurants.
My husband and I wanted to go somewhere that wasn’t so busy during brunch and extra orders for dinner. This place had good ratings and good food to go in and out. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, at a good price. Customer service is everything, and they brought it. Great staff and wonderful owner.✅️ Thank you

Excellent! Had the big poppa and the fish was perfect and the shrimp were fried right and they weren’t the tiny shrimp either! Also had The Long Island Thang which was on point . Definitely worth fighting the hour in traffic to get there. The owners are great people and very welcoming. Will definitely be back there for the rest of the menu.
UPDATE: Finally made it back to City Bodega and they are still serving fabulous dishes! The place was clean and the owner were just as friendly and welcoming as the first time. We came a little late so the salmon was sold out but the Shrimp and Grits were savory! The Whiting Platter was delicious and lasted two days , fish was perfectly seasoned, grits were great and creamy and the eggs were fluffy and dont forget the biscuits! This place never disappoints.
