Tonight we decided to grab a take out on the fish and chips which we heard were great. The coleslaw was very good, the fish itself was a thin filet coated with a tasty Batter. The Batter was very thick for such a thin piece of fish, so much it overwhelmed any taste of the fish. This would be my only complaint. I really wanted to taste the fish but with the thickness of the Batter, the fish was hard to see and even harder to taste. I do appreciate the fact that this was not a preformed piece of fish from the freezer they put in the deep fryer. I will not eat fish from a restaurant who does that, I can do that at home.
The chips were very good, it was all boxed up very nice. I don’t think I will order it again unless they dip it less in batter, they could also use a loin cut so there is actually some fish you can see. I hope you take my observations seriously, I support local businesses and am glad you are in my town. As a side note, we have eaten at the Cider Press several times in the past and the food has always been great!

The food was good, small portions for the price. The Mac & Cheese with brisket was served in a very big dish, too big for the small portion of food and you are lucky if you get a half cup of brisket. Only like 8 brussel sprouts were served for $4.00. I asked for lime or lemon with my drink and they don’t have either, oh and they don’t have straws either. The food came out fairly quick, no salt & pepper on any tables. I wanted barbecue sauce and I waited and waited for the waiter to come and check and she never came and finally I had to get up and go hunt for her and ask her to bring me barbecue sauce. I found her and the other girl sitting at a table in the other room instead of checking to see if the guests might need anything. Yes, the food was good, but the service definitely needs to be dealt with. I would give them another chance as maybe they are new waiters and don’t have good training how to make sure the guests are served correctly.
Definitely is pricy. $28 for the small amount food you see in the picture.

Was driving through Millersburg and needed somewhere to grab lunch. Decided to eat here and I’m happy I did.
I ordered the pulled pork mac & cheese and a glass of cider. Gotta talk about the cider first, it’s the Cider Press after all. I ordered the Red Head Apple Pie Cider. It’s absolutely delicious. It’s incredibly sweet, but anything labelled apple pie should be. This might be my favorite cider I’ve ever had.
The pulled pork mac & cheese was good, but not great. The mac & cheese itself was really creamy and delish. The pulled pork however didn’t have enough flavor for my taste.
I ordered it with the house barbeque. It’s a sweet sauce, but not overly sweet like the popular brand Sweet Baby Ray’s. I like the fact it wasn’t super sweet. But it definitely could have had more sauce to give it more flavor.
The slaw didn’t stand out a whole lot. It had decent flavor, and wasn’t sweet. Which would have been a better complement to the barbeque if the barbeque had a stronger flavor.
That being said, I happily ate the whole plate. It was just fine.
The value here though isn’t very good. I just am not sold on the idea my meal was worth $22. High price for something that didn’t necessarily wow me. And at $10 a glass of cider, that’s expensive as well.
I spent $44 on two drinks and a meal that was good, but not great. But steep. With my tip it was over $55.
I love quite a ways away, but if I find myself in the area I will happily stop by again. I’d like to try a burger.

My husband and I went around 7pm on Thursday and there was no wait. Our waitress was amazing and so incredibly sweet! We started out with the pretzel bites with the house made honey mustard and I have to say those are a 10/10! I had the blackened chicken Alfredo with a side salad with the house made balsamic vinaigrette. I like the chicken but it needed to be by itself I felt like the Alfredo was bland and didn’t mesh well with the chicken which to me had a more sweet taste than spice. The salad with dressing was really good! My husband has the Swiss mushroom burger with chips and Mashed potatoes and he really liked it but felt like the chips could use some salt. Everyone is different and has different taste buds but I absolutely recommend trying them out if you are in the area!!

Can’t seem to orchestrate a ticketed holiday event. 3 servers can’t seem to manage 6 tables. “Locally sourced wine” has random stuff floating in it. The side salad was definitely split between 4 different plates. The bread was definitely prepackaged. You aren’t given a steak knife to cut steak. Dessert was a frozen rice crispy treat… all while the lady in the kitchen, whether she be the owner or a manager, prides themselves to others by being the only one in “their department” that has restaurant experience. Definitely not going back.

If you’re wondering if this is a good place to eat, yes it is! We were sat immediately with no wait. The semisweet cider is good. Ingredients are fresh, and the food is top notch!! The balsamic glazed brussel sprouts are great! Parmesan crusted pork chop is soooo good!

Hidden gem!! I travel a lot and I’m from an area with some pretty legit food offerings (and a lot of wannabe’s), so when I say this isn’t your average establishment and worth your time, I mean it! The food here is trendy with home cooked comfort. Helpings are huge and the attention detail should make these plates cost twice as much. I only was in town on business for two nights but found myself there both nights. The side salad starts it off with hydroponic grown leaf lettuce and a balsamic vinaigrette I could do shots of. They offer gluten free pasta and the two options I had (Parmesan encrusted pork chop with a cream sauce, spinach and zucchini and an Italian sausage with peppers and onions) both were outstanding. Rich flavors, great seasoning and non-boxed or jarred sauces. They have a great selection of non alcoholic and hard ciders and I had to try two of the NA h night. Service was FAST and the wait team made Chick-fil-a look rude . This place is worth the time whether you’re local or not.
