This is one of those rare places that does not just serve food, it is a culinary experience.

The lady ahead of me was a repeat customer and she recommended the pasta, and it did not disappoint. I also got the chicken and waffles, sliders, and the peach cobler. All the food I ordered was just delicious and you just know when a place uses quality ingredients.

The dining area inside is limited, but well decorated, with a pleasant atmosphere. Parking can also be a little limited.

I live about 30 minutes away, but it is well worth the drive. Give it a shot; you will enjoy your food!

Sooooo I had high expectations due to enjoying some of Mr. Barnes’s menu items via various catering events that his company has serviced. I am glad to say that my expectations were sufficiently met ughhhhhh it was so good people.
We ordered the Korean wings
Jerk wings
FYI…the wings are a nice size…I was so pleased to see that they weren’t the little baby wings with barely any meat on them thank God.
All of the portion sizes were great to be honest!!!
Steak and cheese egg rolls
Cat fish po boy
Greens
Mac n cheese
Jerk chicken wrap to go (we have not eaten it just yet but I’m sure it will smack like that mac and cheese)
Lavender lemonade (if you like it sweet then this one is for you…it is lovely)
Grilled salmon salad (was so good that my wife didn’t even need the salad dressing to compliment it)
Banana pudding
Chosen Sweet potato pie
I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other menu items such as the other wings, Rasta pasta, Shrimp and grits, Bulgogi hoagie, chicken and waffles, some of the other desserts, should I stop now? lol…. Try it out for yourself people and see that it indeed is a wonderful life. I will take pics of the food during my next visit instead of just stuffing my face so much. God bless!
FYI…when it is busy then the seating area will reach capacity fast so plan to grab and go. There appears to be extra parking on the lawn on the same side of the street just beside the establishment as well FYI. It certainly gives a nice and cozy bistro or cafe vibe. Good luck Mr. Barnes and team.

2nd visit:
This time i remembered to take photos before I began to stuff my face folks. On this visit we tried the Rasta pasta (this will be my new go to any time I visit this establishment…I will order this item for starters lol….it honestly was much better than I thought it would be….it expected it to be more on the dry side but it was creamy and had an authentic explosion of flavors…it feels as if the Chef made this with love as if they were cooking for their family…you can choose spicy or mild and I chose the spicy version and it was great), lemon pepper wings (they were good but I didn’t taste as much of the lemon flavor on my batch), spicy peach wings (nice flavor and really good), honey garlic (these were good also), and my favorite citrus jerk (absolute bangers straight from the mother land), and we also ordered the strawberry shortcake (it was fantastic folks…sorry I ate this one up before taking a photo….I will be better next time ). I can’t wait to go back and try something else. God bless everyone!

We stopped in this restaurant today for lunch and we were not disappointed! It’s a small spot with big positive vibes and big flavors! There is a good variety for all on the menu along with many different drink options. Food came out fresh and after my first bite I already knew I’d be back. The service was good and friendly and the place was clean. Good music playing too. They dont take cash so keep that in mind before you go. The food is clearly cooked with love here!! We’ll be back!

The Chef is fantastic, don’t be in a rush because your food is prepared fresh, the only items ready to go are cold salads(smoked tuna croissant)and desserts (donut bread pudding) are a must try. The inside is intimate, a few tables for two and seating at an eating bar area against the wall. Had a number of items from the spicy peach(have different sauces to choose from)wings, fried green beans, beef short rib sliders, steak & cheese egg rolls appetizers to the chicken & salmon Rasta pasta, herb crusted lollipop lamb chops with garlic parmesan whipped potatoes and collard greens. No stars were taken from the food because everything was unique and delicious. Only one suggestion that a little less seasoning especially the salt and spices(even though Jamaicans are known for their spicy dishes) would greatly improve dining experiences.

The Chosen Bistro is a 10/10! I tried a few items on the menu and everything was delicious. The short rib sliders were perfect—nicely glazed, sweet, and incredibly tender. The fried string beans were also really good and seasoned just right. I even had the chance to chat with the owner, who was very friendly and kind, with a unique story behind the business. You definitely won’t regret supporting this Black-owned spot. ️✨

Compliments to the chef and staff on their wonderful service and exceptional menu! We enjoyed everything ordered — the Marlboro Shorties Sliders, Wilburn Wings (Garlic/Old Bay), Parmesan Grits, Brussels & Carrots, Strawberry Shortcake, and Lavender Lemonade were all a hit! Balanced flavors and seasoning, had to get a few bites in before leaving. You can tell when love is in the meal.

A friend and I stopped in after working out. The proximity and online reviews were the motivations for trying out this bistro, and we were both pleasantly surprised. The space is small (two tables and counter seating for four, for dine in), modern and very clean. I ordered “the pike” turkey burger with a side of the quick fried brussel sprouts and carrots. The turkey was well seasoned and cooked to perfection, very moist. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Great glaze, just a little too much of it for me. I look forward to dining outside, under a tent when the weather gets warmer. It is also good to see efforts to revitalize this section of Marlboro Pike.
