Lots of chocolate options to choose from. I love the milk chocolates. The entrance is cool. I wish they offered tasting.

The chocolate tasted wonderful, the place had beautiful scenery, and the staff was extremely friendly.
However, it was pretty expensive, and I was expecting more variety based on the billboards – it was mostly just truffles and chocolate coffeeish drinks.

The truffles were amazingly smooth and flavorful. You’re looking at paying a nice chunk for them though. Unfortunately the atmosphere was not very inviting. We were treated like we were a bother to the staff instead of brand new visitors. We quickly made our purchase and left.

Fun boutique truffle shop just south of the interstate past the wineries. It’s on the left and watch for the sign. Inside is an impressive array of truffle flavors. You can buy sample cut up slices for tasting, which is a good idea. Also the truffles are very richly flavored so cutting and sharing with friends is a good idea later too. They come in themed packs of 2, 6, 9, 16 and 36. The hot chocolate is thick, like a European style. We had a fun time and it was a good stretch after driving a few hours to/from Chicago. Enjoy!

Inviting place, great truffles and coffee. A nice place to stop on a long trip. Great but pricy.

The truffles are fantastic. The quality is very high and the flavors are unique. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Only complaints: 1) it’s definitely on the pricier end. 2) wish they had an option to build your own box and 3) there are only truffles, it would be nice to have other chocolate options at the Chocolate Garden.

First of all, the name is misleading. As others have pointed out, the selection is literally only truffles, and a select few flavors. Not what I would expect from a “garden” of chocolate. The store also stocks several tables with the same flavors so as to give the appearance of selection. And if you don’t care to pay $3 per truffle, then this place is not for you. For all those billboards and hype, I didn’t think it was worth it. During my visit, I got the cayenne kick and the orange ginger truffles. I did really enjoy the cayenne kick truffles (and it is a good, delicious kick). The orange ginger truffles tasted dirt-like, and I love ginger so not sure what was going on there. The staff members were pretty meh on the customer service. The surrounding area has many fun options (delicious wine, amazing tacos, fun kid activities), but I would probably not include the chocolate garden in my “must see” places.

Cute store front, very well-organized store, very friendly and helpful employees who made our experience at their store so much fun! The truffles are amazing….I would definitely recommend spending the $2.99 for the tasting! While this is not a criticism, but my hope for future trips to the Chocolate Garden, I would it if they would offer customers the opportunity to mix and match their own combinations of truffles. Other than that, I will definitely be back when I am up in the area!!

A very welcoming place with cute staff. We actually discovered the place accidentally while driving through I-94. We were there at 7pm when the place was already closed for an hour. However the lady was so nice, she welcomed us in to shop whatever we wanted. She didn’t want to deprive us of “chocolate pleasures”. It was a great gesture. As first time visitors, we were really amazed by the hospitality and to add to that the chocolate truffles were delicious. We missed experiencing the taste bar and the chocolate beverages, but would surely love to visit again.
