They were very busy and warned us politely that there would be a wait. We were happy to wait, and they were a few minutes quicker that suggested. The food was well worth the wait. It was fresh, hot, and tasty. I would recommend ordering ahead on food.gg to save the wait, but as I say, it is worth it either way.

I ordered sweet n sour chicken Hong Kong style. Not the usual as it consisted of sliced chicken in batter. The sauce was nothing like sweet n sour, it was very bland but had the key ingredients such as pineapple. The fried rice was okay and the prawn toast was saturated in oil. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Went here as an unplanned, impromptu stop whilst exploring St Peter Port……We are glad we did!
We could t decide what to order, being vegetarian & vegan.
The staff were extremely helpful and explained what ingredients were in the dishes such as the Oyster sauce in the chow mein.
The food was cooked quickly and tasted absolutely amazing…the noodles were second to none with chunky, fresh vegetables.
We seriously can’t wait to return!!!

The Chinese gourmet doesn’t disappoint !
Great food and the best bit is the ultra polite lad working there ,he’s a ensure to deal with and a credit to the firm.

I wouldn’t order from here again if it was the last place on earth. Ordered 5-6 dishes and the same bland sauce was used to make all of the dishes. It takes art to mess up a bowl of noodle so badly. Probably the only “Chinese” takeaway that charges you for prawn crackers (£1.50). Went in by mistake as we were looking for a different Chinese takeaway on the same road (not Red). You get what you pay for. cheap and nasty.
