Sliders were good, but barely adequate in terms of the amount of meat. I guess you can’t expect much for $3.50 each. The regular, unhappy hour price is $16 for 4 of them. I think I would have preferred them supplying maybe twice the meat and making the regular plate $18 for 3 and the happy hour offering $10 for 2.
The cornbread was nice, somewhat dessert-like. Reminded me of a Filipino place in L.A. that does a fluffy, sweet cornbread. But the Chinese Cowboy version is much denser (good) and is piece is lightly grilled, then sparingly drizzled with a sweet miso-caramel sauce. I felt it was exactly the right amount of sauce.
However The cowboy burger without the bacon was extremely good very flavorful moist Burger to bun ratio was great . Which was my husband‘s food? I should’ve got a burger too. I try their smoke brisket. Fried rice. If I have to rate this dish on a scale for one to 10 for me, it’s a four it smells really good, but it did not taste how he smelled. It had too many peas for my liking and some of the brisket was really dry and hard and not that much brisket more peas than meat
I love that they have live music
I need to come back and order more food but what we did have was delicious.
We ordered the brisket fried rice – totally a favorite. The fried egg on top was a killer touch that really made it amazing.
The popcorn chicken bites were super super tasty. Delicious sauce!
We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower. It too was delicious but I ate too much fried rice to really enjoy it.
Cocktails looked great – but we ordered beer and the it tasted wonderful in their awesome glasses.
Really sweet spot to hang out and chill with friends.
Burger ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– my boyfriend thought this was such a good burger
– I thought it was good but it was like a 4 to me
– the vegetables were really crisp
– the bacon was also cooked to perfection
Fries ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– the unexpected amazing hero of the meal
– we somehow really loved the fries
Gyro ⭐⭐⭐
– not my fave, I think the pita needed to be toasted
– was a little soggy to me
– my friend who also ordered it compared it to Taco Bell which I thought was wild, it was def better than that
– I think the Szechuan chili oil was way too dialed down, think like the la Croix of Szechuan chili oil
– I adore the idea tho
The food and drinks were amazing. I love the big shareable small plates. The dumplings, brisket fried rice, pulled pork brisket sliders, mac and cheese, and cauliflower were all super tasty. Definitely a must-try!
Would recommend EEM for American bbq/asian fusion instead.
The bartender was so sweet and personable.
I ended up ordering some brisket sliders and a smaller plate of Mac & Cheese. The food was amazing. The brisket is great. I really would like to order more than appetizers. The menu is full of great options so it was hard to pick. Until next time!
