If there is one word which can describe our overall experience, it is a Persian word ‘Behtareen’ … meaning nothing better than this. They have a fabulous range of drinks. We had old fashioned cocktail, and whiskey sour….both perfect. My wife and a friend had Lavender Lemonade, which I believe was extremely refreshing. Dumplings (garlicky prawn, chestnut, and spicy green) were cooked as they should be, truly delicious. So were wok fried braised tofu ; and the hot pot tofu with veg, served sizzling hot, with sichuan noodles and fried rice.
The service was immaculate… with special appreciation and thanks to Shweta Parth, for her perfect service with smile.
Visited on 17th April… I regret belated review.
Do try their signature: Peking Duck
The staff seems all undertrained.. looks like Hyatt is doing some major cost cutting by hiring freshers only, that too without any training. They have no idea about when to clear plates and how to serve. Just to get water we had to ask 3 different waiters thrice and finally we wer able to get some water.
While the food is very nice, be ready for the most pathetic service experience at China Kitchen. Given the kind of service we got, the restaurant should reduce the prices by at least 75%!
First, it’s really pricey. I get that it’s hotel food, but still think this is overpriced. Second, service was…weird.. For instance, they served our individual bowls but in doing so, they had to reach other guests at the table. Really awkward. Third, we also ordered water that came in a cup that was dirty on the outside. It left someone’s pants stained (see photo). Fourth, there’s way too many things on the table. Just made the experience feel crowded. Not what we wanted or expected for the price.
China Kitchen doesnt need any introduction. This year, they completed 11th year and are still going strong. Now, they are coming out of the hotel and the first TCK will open in Cyberhub in October. They recently launched an additional menu that will also be part of their regular menu. This new addition has focus on bejing style street food. Chefs of China kitchen had visited Park Hyatt China to get trained for couple of months. Food is rustic, spicy and delicious. One of the reason the china kitchen is still going strong is that they import their ingredients from china which makes their dishes more authentic. With six ex-pats chefs this is certainly the best Chinese in India.
Apart from pecking duck which is their signature, I also liked their dimsums. Their wok dishes were outstanding – especially the wok fried spicy mushroom and Sichuan style spicy lamb salad. In main course king fish was excellent and so was the wok fried lamb stew. Oh! you cant miss their wok fried rice with chilli and bamboo shoot. I would recommend you to try their green tea tiramisu as well!
A must visit for all Chinese lovers!
