We discovered Chimney House during a recent stay in the area, and we’re very glad we did. The food, presentation and service were all outstanding.
Of all the great dishes we had, the Churrasco Chimichurri steak topped the list. It was one of the best tasting pieces of sirloin I’ve ever had.
The seafood dishes were great also. The Grilled Chimichurri Shrimp Skewer plate, the Grilled Rainbow Trout and the Peruvian Jalea were all very good. I do wish the Jalea came with more than one scallop though, because it was the highlight of that dish.
Bottom line, next time we’re in Fort Lauderdale we’ll be back fo sure.

Stopped in before the theatre and to celebrate a birthday. Gabrielle took great care of us at a cozy outdoor table set for seven. I’d love to return. This is a very cozy place and I enjoyed the food

We are season ticket holders at Broward Theater. We always enjoy dining at The Chimney House! They feature the Pre Theatre Prix Fixe which features an appetizer, main course and dessert at an unbelievable price! Tonight I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup which featured fresh chunks of avocado! In one word, DELICIOUS! For my entree I had the Chimichurri Shrimp skewers with peppers and onions, which was accompanied by yellow Spanish style rice and perfectly prepared maduros! The entire meal was served piping hot and was just delicious! The staff including the owners were attentive and friendly! This is definitely our go to for pre theatre! LOVED IT!

We went for a quick lunch and I was pleasantly surprised at the chic interior and cozy exterior ambiance. Food was all very fresh. Salad, ceviche, maduros, and the steak was perfection! Our waitress was phenomenal. Kind, professional, and smiled the entire time. Prices were fair because of the quality of food and drinks. Looking forward to returning soon.

Our condo is across the street. Love coming over for brunch and dinner. Huevos rancheros w/carne asada = highly recommend. Frank and Yady genuinely care about the output of this and their beach restaurant. Most ingredients, sauces, etc made in house. You can’t go wrong. Definitely stop in. Park in their free lot across the street.

The Chimney House was a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent! We shared a Spanish Mussels appetizer, our entrees were Arroz Marinero and Chimichurri Shrimp Skewers, and we shared Rice Pudding for desert. Everything was delicious! Service was mostly good. It was spotty towards the end because it got very crowded before a concert at the nearby theater. The restaurant is clean and very cute inside, but tight and noisy once it fills up. (There’s also an outdoor patio.) Food prices are very reasonable but cocktails and wine are pricey! Very convenient location if you’re going to a show at the Broward Center. We would go back!

First timers at The Chimney House restaurant, And it is definitely a keeper. We went there prior to going to a show at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts since it is just across the street from the theater. We were seated immediately since we had reservations, and we were welcomed as if we were old friends.
They serve a price fixed dinner prior to the theater as long as you show that you have theater tickets, the price is discounted. Our appetizers included soup of the day for one member of our party and chicken empanadas for the other.
One dinner was swordfish, grilled to perfection with white rice and fried plantains served with a cream coconut sauce that was exquisite. The second dinner was steak, grilled to perfection and also served with steamed vegetables and rice. For the price fix dinner, desserts included choice of tres Leche cake, flan, rice pudding, or fruit cup.
although this was the first time at this restaurant, it will definitely not be the last. If you want an excellent restaurant to go to in the Theater district of Fort Lauderdale The Chimney House should be at the top of your list. Reservations are recommended.

This was delicious and worth the price. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. You will need reservations during peak times. Plan ahead if you have a large party. I only saw one bathroom. The service is really good. I love the fact that the food was not too salty or sweet. You could really taste the food’s natural flavor. Delicious, and I will budget to go again.
