When my wife, who once lived in Yuma, first raved to me about this place, I thought she was crazy. All that about a bean & cheese burrito? Really? Then I had my first one. I’m a different person now! The greatest bean & cheese burritos & rolled tacos ever! If I had a time machine & access to the most important people in history, this is where I would feed them! IT’S THAT GREAT! 8 MILLION STARS!

I usually have a very good experience with The Chile pepper, today I got a machaca and egg burrito and there were small pieces of eggshell in several of my bites. It’s very unpleasant biting over eggshells. I called the restaurant to let them know but no one answered. I usually am pretty easy going but it kind of ruined my burrito anyway I will keep going but just wanted to make you aware.

The overall presentation of the food looked amazing! It did its job at satisfying my appetite, but truthfully lacked the flavor of the true Hispanic culture. I’d categorize as more of a Tex-Mex meal. That salsa was very flavorful, but the lid often got some chunks of tomatoes stuck in the cap, making it a bit of a nuisance to pore. Overall I rate The Chile Pepper a B+ for great presentation and phenomenal service!

Haven’t been to this place in a long time since moving out of Yuma, AZ. I was in town this past weekend and had to stop in. I ordered my usual bean burrito and a soda. The tortillas were not as I remember it to be (not as good). The atmosphere has changed being more authentic and fun. The food tastes good as usual. This place has been around for a long time and is a favorite to many people. If you haven’t been here it’s a must try in my opinion.

The burritos (beef & chicken) were enchilada style with cheese and a scrumptious green chili sauce over all. The rolled, shredded beef tacos were cheese covered and delicious. The obligatory accompaniments of refried beans and rice were very tasty and rounded out the meal. This food was such a pleasure to eat that over-eating was not avoidable. Treat yourself at The Chile Pepper ASAP.

The wait time in drive thru was long. I got the cheese enchiladas and they were good but really greasy and oily, so I didn’t finish it. The chocoflan was disappointing because it looked like someone stuck their fork in there already to take a bite. I understand maybe that part was cut off to fit in the container but I just didn’t eat it because I got grossed out. I wouldn’t come here again.

Always been a fan of this place. I hadn’t been here in a while so I decided to stop by, it was pretty much empty, score! I ordered red chili burrito, it was delicious!!! We also ordered the famous bean and cheese, which is simple but so satisfying, and a dozen rolled tacos, let’s just say there was nothing left. Sorry not sorry. Never disappoints! The salsa takes the same every single time! So good a must for anyone in Yuma. Enjoy!

Our first time here and the young lady taking our order was very friendly and helpful. The food was quite good as were the Margaritas. The dining area feels a bit cafeteria-ish but very comfortable and clean.

This place is absolutely the best. I ordered some food online and because it was the first time I used that function I didn’t realize I needed to select the store so my order went to Mr G’s instead. I arrived at Chili Pepper and obviously my order was not there. This very nice gentleman helped me out. He called Mr G’s to see if he could make my order at Chili Pepper and have them use my order for something else. Yes! That is exactly what happened. My order was made quickly and I was on my way! I would have been okay with driving to Mr G’s but was happy with the outcome. I absolutely recommend Chili Pepper and Mr G’s. The food is amazing and always fresh. I am never disappointed.
Thank you!
