The Coop serves a standard fare of chicken, hamburgers and pasta but the quality and taste of the food is at the 5 star end of the spectrum for such fare when the price is considered. Never before has such a good meal been served to so many people at such a good price. And if you sit at the bar, you can order from the bartender and you get your food as soon as it is ready. So 5 stars for service even if I didn’t get a black-attired waiter with a corkscrew and 36″ pepper mill. Atmosphere? Do you like dive bars? Would you like to be surrounded by inanimate representations of chicken? Do you mind if the person next to you chooses to yell at their cell phone because they are tuned into a fight while the bars televisions are tuned to the latest match of Olympic curling and no one cares? Also consider mysterious things on the wall that were probably something but now no one knows? Looking for a place to meet up with the girl you were dating and starting to fall in love with, that moved in with your friend the day after she met him and is having a birthday but going to their house fur that would be weird now? Bam. 5 stars for atmosphere.

This is not a tourist spot. It’s for locals. It also is a bar. If you don’t like that atmosphere don’t go. Otherwise it’s cute and my breakfast sausage links were to die for even at 3 in the afternoon. Atmosphere was horseracing sports games and commentary and barfly conversations. My husband didn’t care for his dinner entree but he was very hungry and he ate it.

I went here with a large church group. We had a reservation && utilized the big back room, seating about 30+ people. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing – we stayed until closing and the employees didn’t complain. They were very friendly &provided great service. 10/10 would recommend.

I walked here and had the Prime Rib special. It was cooked to perfection and tasted great. It came with vegetables and I substituted French fries for the baked potato. Good food, clean, nice dive bar atmosphere. Might try the chicken fried steak next time.

Been going here for 20 years. My favorite place for breakfast, by far. Old school, relaxed, no-frills joint with great breakfast and bloody marys. If you don’t like this place, YOU are the problem and you should go somewhere that serves smoothies.

This is NOT a chicken restaurant. It is an amazing chicken-themed restaurant. The drinks are amazing and the food is amazing. The outside looks a bit worn down, but that adds to the charm. You can’t beat the old-school style, portions, price, and decor. I recommend the fried whole clams, the cocktails (not on the menu), prime rib, and the steaks. Just amazing. One important thing to note: they only accept cash.

He was also blown away at the amount of food you get for the price you pay. It’s a very affordable place that has top notch quality food.
