The newest spot in the UB Commons! The interior was very spacious and beautiful, with lots of decorations and games to play. The service was also great! We were recommended the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese and the Big Phil Mac’N, which are both delicious! They were very generous with the meat and cheese. A perfect place to eat if you’re craving cheese while hanging out and playing board games! Will definitely be back next time!
Edit: I came back a second time to try more. I got 3 sides of their Mac and cheese: regular, bacon, and Philly. For $5 each, that’s a pretty good deal! And even though they were sides, they came out hot and fresh! My favorite remains their Philly!

New location, wanted to explore and share some love.
First visit:
– Grilled Cheese Burger
Not bad, would not have again due to price-serving ratio. Patty was juicy.
– Cookies
Standard choc-chip. Nothing to complain about.
Second visit:
– Big Phil Mac Cheese
It was ok. Not anything extravagant. But for the price paid, it’s less than preferred.
Had a few pieces of mac that were dry and hard. With any mac n cheese, this is very usual, but for $16, it’s gotta be better.
Steak could use more flavor.
I echo other customers, unfortunately this is not a location that encourages frequent visits due to the price.

I went to order and the food was really good. The s’mores sandwich tasted really good but was insanely sugary, so I’d recommend only having half and splitting the other half. The Mac and cheese Philly cheesesteak was amazing and super flavorful. The best part was the man working there, he was super friendly and helpful. The machine wasn’t working so he couldn’t charge my card, he decided to give us the meal for free. Definitely recommend!!

The mac and cheese is a small portion pre-shredded cheese on buttered noodles. Note: pre shredded solid cheese doesn’t melt fully or mix into food.
The chicken was fine, despite being a small portion. Multiple noodles were hard/partially cooked.
For 13$, (after coupon), there is way better. Especially the on-campus food trucks (Little Blue, Big Blue) with a similar portion of BBQ mac and cheese, with _melted_ cheese, for 11$.
There was zero wait, which is a bonus, and it is open until 8pm, unlike many other dining options. There are clearly-labeled Gluten-Free foods, which is much appreciated.

This is my new favorite spot at UB! Its so nice to have good food thats reasonably priced, and the grilled cheeses hit that cheese craving perfectly. 100% recommend and i will be making this my main food stop for my long days on campus. Support local businesses! ❤️

Great service, great food and atmosphere. Staff was very welcoming and helpful! They very generously gave me a free meal when there was a slight hiccup in the ordering system. Would highly recommend and will be visiting in the future!

Welcome to UB! You guys make great food. Love the Mac and cheese I got the other day. Just wish it was more affordable. Here’s just some tips to maybe take into consideration. We students put a lot of consideration into budgeting when it comes to food. Most of us eat at the commons because campus dining is expensive. Young Chow, Dancing Chopsticks, and pretty much all other places in the commons have meals for around $12 that can be split into two, for lunch and dinner. But it’s not really possible here. Sure there’s cheaper options and the Lunch Box, but that’s not filling anyone. And the regular Mac and cheese are just too expensive ($10-$15+), especially for something that’s simple and cheap to make. I mean a basic Mac and cheese is like $11 before tax. Then for nutrition like adding meat, it brings it to $15 or more. That’s out of most of our meal budgets. The burger price is also just very questionable at $15, considering how even campus dining’s burger is only $6 something. And La Rosa also sells burgers next door. I feel like this place will really turn out to be just a “treat” place where students will go once in a while for a treat but not regularly to eat lunch/dinner unlike the other places. I really hope you guys read this review and take it into consideration, coming from a college student that I think many can resonate with. Basically just reconsider the pricing and portions. That’s all.

The mac and cheese is just plain awful. It tastes like butter noodles and theyre over cooked. The bacon was burnt and it was just overall not good. The place and chill but the food is just not good. And the price is nuts. 16$ for noodles that tastes like it was from the dollar store. Also to add, the brownie wasnt even fully cooked and was mushy and tastes raw

The food is very good but it is a bit pricey compared to other options at the Commons. It serves a very niche market.
