Had a great meal at The Cheesecake Factory in Union Square. The food was solid as always – generous portions and reliable favourites. We had sliders with salad, some crispy starters, and finished with cheesecake (both the chocolate and classic were delicious).
What really made the experience special was the view overlooking Union Square and the ice skating rink, especially in the evening when everything is lit up. Comfortable space, friendly service, and a great spot to unwind after shopping or sightseeing. Definitely one of the best spots in San Francisco. Would happily come back.❤️

We went there on Thursday evening right after work. It was not crowded at all.
They have inside or outside. The outside has a nice neon view (we were seated inside due to the weather).
The service was great and quick, and the food was delicious as always!

Came here with some friends and went to the balcony for the nice views!
Good:
– The place is a lot fancier and upscale than expected for a big chain
– I liked that there were healthier options marked and calories were clearly marked
– The healthy chicken pasta was good! A bit bland but good still
– The healthy no sugar strawberry cheesecake was still tasty!
Bad:
– Took a while to get seated though there were plentiful empty seats
– The food was okay, but mostly we liked the ambiance
– No sun umbrellas so we got pretty hot
Overall this was such a bucket list item to try and do just once, wouldn’t come again since there’s better food elsewhere

I’m surprised by the low reviews. I had lunch here today and everything was great—from the bread starter to the main course and dessert. The Peruvian Chicken Bowl was delicious, and the pineapple cheesecake was a pleasant surprise even though I’m not usually a fan of cheesecake.

Service at the San Fran one isn’t great. Been 3 times on my trip and it’s always slow, inattentive, disappearing servers (except at the end when they want a tip) – front desk people are direct like it’s some club. Everyone appears to be unhappy working there. Not friendly at all unlike LA ones.

Very busy location. The staff handles the pressure well. The food was consistent with other locations. The Atmosphere was great especially if you can sit outside on a nice day or night from the 8th floor overlooking union Square.

I was attending a birthday party in cheesecake factory San Francisco location , after two hour long with they give us a table , they were super busy unbelievable , food was OK. Service was good., heater was on in there a lot of people so feeling very uncomfortable, but overall good experience .

So many wonderful selection of food! Service was superb too. We had a window on the world view on a brilliant noon time San Francisco. My hubby had the Thai Chicken salad and I had the Shepherd’s Pie. His salad was so scrumptious and the chicken tender. My shepherds pie was one of the best I ever had including the UK! For dessert we had the apple crumble which was the perfect ending to a very satisfying lunch. And they make the best tropical iced tea.

Indoor and Outdoor seating (with heaters) Service is Top and caters to customer needs and requests. We had Alexis and he was on top of our food and drinks order. Not forgetting even the littlest of things in our vegetarian and no meat order. He even remembered and brought us the hot Cajun jambalaya sauce for us to taste. He is a rockstar. This location lives up to the hype of being in the prime location of Union Square, SFO and also of their impeccable service. Outside seating view is amazing day or night. We came for dessert to go the night before and for early dinner the next day before we headed back home. Can’t go wrong with their vast spread menu for the conscious and not so conscious folks. There’s a sweet spot for everyone in here. Drinks, Food and Good Times. And we had the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake to say au revoir.

After exploring the famous Macys store in Union Square we decided to treat ourselves to a well deserved slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, which is known for having the best cheesecake you can get. As someone who has been lucky enough to visit various Cheesecake Factory locations across the globe, we were really looking forward to our treat and had high expectations for the visit.
Unfortunately, things did not go quite as we had hoped. Despite there being several empty seats on the beautiful balcony area, we were informed there would be an hour wait if we wanted to sit outside. This was disappointing but we decided to go ahead and sit inside instead, where there were only a handful of other diners. We were welcomed by our server who provided menus and kindly offered us some water. However, after this initial greeting we waited almost 20 minutes without any further interaction or sign of our server, which was incredibly frustrating.
Whilst we waited, we could clearly see our server and other team members chatting nearby, but no one came over to take our order or even check in on us. In the end, we made the disappointing decision to leave with no Cheesecake enjoyment.
Given the Cheesecake Factory’s usual attention to detail and reputation for great service, we were really surprised by this experience. I am hopeful that our timing was just unfortunate and that other guests had a better time. It is a real shame as this is a lovely restaurant in a great location. Perhaps we will try again another time and hopefully enjoy the usual high standards we have come to expect.
I’ve rated the food high as the Cheesecake Factory is consistently great with their cakes and menu choices despite not being able to eat at this specific restaurant.
