Went here Friday for lunch with good friends. My first time so I ordered the corned beef sandwich. Best I’ve ever had in all my 74 years. The sandwich was 2 1)2″ thick.
Plus the decor was absolutely amazing.

My husband and I ordered 2 panini sandwiches and portobello mushrooms. My sandwich was turkey, prosciutto and mozzarella with green peppers. There was 1 slice of prosciutto and 3 small strings of green pepper and a large amount of turkey. My husband’s pastrami with swiss sandwich was fine. The portobello mushrooms were very good.

I absolutely love every sandwich and item I’ve ordered off the menu. The staff is very friendly. The shop is decorated with old memorabilia from the 50s. There are so many snack options, great cheeses and meats in the deli. My favorite spot to grab lunch or snacks before heading to Starved Rock

I’ve always heard such great things about this place, it did not disappoint! It was busy, but service was quick and personable. Our food was delicious and the serving sizes were great. Can’t wait to come back!

The cheesey potato soup was amazing! The atmosphere was really nice, lots of old antiques you could look at. And the food only took a little while to be made. There were also different themed tables inside. Definitely would recommend!

Good food, sometimes the service sucks. Lately it’s been better so that’s a plus. Tasty soups and pretty good sandwiches. Specials are usually pretty good too. Nice little place.

Wow! Amazing place and history! It’s worth visiting and spending an hour just to see all the photos and preserved little and big gadgets. The food was good as we stopped for a quick lunch. The cheese curds were very good and also worth the stop. Amazing place! You have to visit! Our kids loved it
