This menu is so hard to choose from because I want to order it all. I ordered the loaded tots and inside-out grilled cheese and a plain jane for my daughter. Both were wonderful but my daughter said hers was the best grilled cheese she’s ever had. We really enjoyed the fresh squeezed lemonade. I highly suggest you visit.

I’ve been twice. The first experience was opening weekend-we ordered 6 sandwiches, a grape dessert(deliciously simple) and the fried mac and cheese. My favorite is the bruschetta. It was perfect balance of flavors. The resturant is cozy and offers indoor and outdoor seating which why I assume they ask for your number to text when order is ready- for customers sitting outside it would be difficult to manage orders without. Maybe a runner would add to customer service?

We really enjoyed our visit, food is reasonably priced and everything was served fresh and hot. The character of the building and decor is very welcoming. The employees were very nice and helpful. The menu has a lot of good choices that will encourage coming back to try other offerings.

I love the idea of a restaurant focused on grilled cheese, but I expected more. The grilled cheese was good, but not amazing. The tomato soup tasted similar to campbells. The pretzels and cheese were good! My husband said the lemonade tasted watered down. We were the only customers and our food still took around 15-20 mins to arrive.

This place is amazing. It’s a little out of the way but well worth the drive. From the outside it’s a little unassuming but quite cozy inside.

First time at the Cheese Shack and I really enjoyed. The restaurant was clean and the young lady taking my order was very sweet. The food was piping hot and delicious. I’m so glad I can here.

They are reopening, but hopefully this time with better ethics. Their last go around the owners kept cash tips for themselves and used the excuse that “that’s why they pay above minimum wage”. Everyone pays above minimum wage so that is no justification. Hopefully this time they do not do the same. Very selfish and they already charge enough for their food!

The sandwiches were pretty good. The tater tots were perfectly crispy and delicious and the food came out in a timely manner. I thought the prices were also reasonable. Will go back sometime.

I was reallllllly looking forward to this place. I was expecting a darling little restaurant in Kimmswick, MO, and so excited about the Portobello mushroom-Brie soup they advertise. I just had 85% of my stomach surgically removed a couple of weeks ago and that soup sounded deee-vine! Forget it. Didn’t have it. My only soup choices were Chicken Tortilla (my stomach screams ouch!) or some kind of tomato. NO. So, no choices for me. They do have good iced tea! Like a fool, I ordered mac-and-cheese. Can’t eat that! It’s fine if you’re 4 years old, they even serve it with a plastic spoon. It’s a nickel’s worth of poorly cooked inappropriate Cavatelli pasta with a dime’s worth of horribly bland white cheese sauce. About a cup of the earth’s cheapest food for $4.50! I was insulted! For that price I could feed spectacular M&C to the entire 8th Air Force picnic! My daughter got the “Fat Pig” sandwich, BBQ pulled pork with M&C on toast. She loved it. No chips, nothing. Not even a pickle slice. My son got the “Hot Italian” sammie. Toast with melted Mozz, pepperoni and warm marinara. In a paper basket. He was underwhelmed. The place is reasonably cute, kitschy and has an AC. Kind of an indoor version of their food truck. You order as you enter, like Macdonald’s. No table menu for those like me with vision problems. A pain if you aren’t familiar with the menu. Definitely a jeans and tee place. Disappointing for Kimmswick. Did I mention that they have good iced tea? That was my lunch.

Loved the food we got from the truck a few years ago at the first Rizz Show Eat and Treat so we had to try the brick and mortar. Equally as amazing. Great staff. Even better food. And it’s in such a cute little historic part of town!! We’ll definitely spend the weekend next time!
