After reading a sizable amount of negative reviews during opening week, visited Chas today. Food, ambience and service (thx Anthony) excellent. No long waits between courses, cold food, etc.
To those naysayers, give this establishment another shot after working out the kinks

Absolutely loved my experience here! The decor is stunning! Such a beautiful, thoughtfully designed space that immediately sets the tone for the evening. The service was just as impressive: attentive, warm, and perfectly paced without ever feeling rushed.

Now, the food… wow. The margarita was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket were incredibly light and flavorful, the Crispy Rice lived up to its name with the perfect crunch, and the sauce tied everything together beautifully. The sushi was exceptionally fresh and presented like a work of art.

And the branzino… truly a standout. It’s not always easy to find one with real depth of flavor, but this one absolutely delivered.

I will definitely be returning!

What a job they did with this space and the decor! Very well- done! Dinner was lovely. Jorge, our server was phenomenal. I really felt welcomed and cared for. All the staff from the hostesses to the runners to the valets were so attentive and nice. All the courses came out promptly. The South African lobster tail was my favorite… very succulent! Thank you again to Jorge and team

Visited the chas on Friday night, place was PACKED, the decor was gorgeous you could tell they put alot of thought into to the restaurant. Had a reservation at a table but decided to stay at the bar after our first drink because of the bartender steve. My husband is also in the restaurant business and even he said “this guy is one of the best ive ever seen” the drinks were great, he made drinks faster then ive ever seen and was all over the place taking peoples orders, making drinks, running around. Fun to watch.
Now to the food, it took FOREVER. And we werent the only one at the bar complaining about how long it took. I guess they were overwhelmed by the amount of people there. Even though Steve kept us in the loop and made sure we had drinks and even bought us a around because of the wait was still disappointing. When it did come it was good. We will definitely give it another try hoping that whatever the problem is fixed.

Its amazing to me to see the reviews of a restaurant open less than a week. Especially those who went opening week with large parties of people. Anyway, I had a great experience. Food was good but thought it could’ve been better. I would’ve preferred a dry aged steak for a place of this magnitude but it was still good none the less. Our server Drinardo was exceptional! Very attentive, very sweet and funny, went above and beyond. Will definitely be back many times in the future.

Overall, it was a great experience, with a few notable issues that kept it from being a 5/5.

The service was excellent — very much in line with their main restaurant, Rothmann’s Steakhouse (though I can’t say the same about Matteo’s, which they also own). From the valet opening the doors, to the front desk staff offering to take our coats — a professional courtesy that’s seldom seen today — to our waiter, everyone was professional and welcoming. The busboys were also attentive, consistently refilling water glasses and keeping the table clean.

Service overall was a clear highlight at The Chas.

The food was very good. The bread took a noticeable amount of time to come out and, after the wait, could have been served warmer. That said, some items felt overpriced — particularly the appetizers and sushi rolls. The pricing aligns with high-end steakhouse competitors, but without fully matching that same level of atmosphere, quality, or overall execution. The Rothman restaurants still have ways to improve to reach the level of quality found at Scotto Brothers’ restaurants. However, Rothman restaurants fully shine and beat Scotto restaurants when it comes to customer service.

Our main handhelds — the Wagyu and Prime burgers — were excellent in both taste and value. However, we didn’t love that they were served on cutting boards. It didn’t feel functional and came across as unsanitary. The burgers were stacked so high they were already falling apart before reaching the table. The staff member delivering them had to use his hands to restack them before serving, which wasn’t the best impression.

As for drinks, there were noticeable inconsistencies. My wife ordered a cocktail listed on the menu, but they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. During opening week, that felt disorganized and very disappointing. The bar also seemed poorly staffed and managed. We received our appetizers before our first round of drinks — something we’ve never experienced at a high-end restaurant. My second drink was also forgotten for about 15 minutes after ordering.

That said, when the drinks (the ones they had the ingredients for) did arrive, they were
very well made.

Overall, great service and quality food, but some operational kinks to work out — particularly at the bar and in presentation details — which are difficult to overlook at premium price points.

Had an amazing dinner this weekend! The food and ambiance were both excellent. Our server Brandon was the best- super attentive and nice. The crispy rice and lobster sushi roll were delicious, and the bread they bring to the table is amazing! We had the porterhouse steak, mashed potatoes, and broccolini for the main course – everything was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall it was Okay. I know they only opened a few days ago but considering the owner has much experience with other very similar restaurants I assumed it would’ve been better. First, the waiter never gave us menus when we were seated which was fine but we had to ask our waiter ten minutes later when he came around. Second, the food came out cold and I had to wait 15 minutes for it to come back out while my partner ate theirs, which i agreed to but still. The manager was extremely nice though as was our server. Third, not only did I make a note on my reservation that it was my partners birthday, but I fully discussed it with my server and they did NOTHING. No dessert, no song no nothing. I wasn’t looking for anything free and was absolutely willing to pay for whatever dessert they brought over but pretending the full conversation we had about it didn’t happen was very aggravating. He just gave us the check and did nothing. In addition after I paid, as the cherry on top, I saw him put the tip into his wallet and squeeze it to show his coworkers how “thick” and full of money it was i guess. Very unprofessional and made me feel even more upset after the lack of birthday celebration. I would likely not come here again. Side note: beware there are no free refills, they charged me $7.90 for two skinny glasses of Coke that were like 3 sips per glass.
